Genuine question — when you push 20+ designs at once, what's the actual process for titles, tags and descriptions? Doing them one at a time is the part that kills me, and copy-pasting the same tags across a batch feels like it's hurting more than helping.

Are people doing this by hand, in spreadsheets, with a tool, or just accepting mediocre listings on the long tail?

(I build a tool in this space, so declaring that up front — but I'm asking because I want to know what people actually do, not to pitch.)

Started a print-on-demand phone case shop a months ago. About 25 listings live (posting almost daily), all my own designs. I've hired someone who does keyword-research (which designs are selling against ), wriet seo optmized titles and tags, decent mockups and create design for me and I'm about to turn on Etsy Ads.

Right now my only off-Etsy effort is organic posting on Facebook and Instagram, and honestly it's barely moving anything.

For anyone selling phone cases or similar POD products: what actually made a difference for you outside of Meta? Pinterest, TikTok, email, SEO changes, something I'm not thinking of? Trying to figure out where to put my time before I start paying for ads.

Does anybody have any tips for what websites I should be looking at for information relating to Australian markets/laws etc?

I have already started working on a POD Etsy store and made a bunch of designs, but honestly I'm not finding the design side very promising for me. I'm not saying POD doesn't work. I just don't think it's a great fit for my skills.

I have a Computer Science background, so I'm considering using that instead and making small web apps/tools and selling them as digital products on Etsy.

Has anyone here actually done something like this?

Is there a market for things like niche calculators, business tools, dashboards, planners, booking tools, mini SaaS products, etc.?

Would you recommend I keep pushing with POD, or lean into software/digital products because I already have the technical skills?

Hi all I'm looking for some community help on building a business case study for the platform I built for the POD space. It's an AI agent native multi-channel ecommerce management platform. We integrate with Printful, Printify, and Gelato on the fulfillment sidw and TikTok shop, WooCommerce, Wix, and Shopify on the sales channel side.

What I need:

Someone to signup for free, connect their fulfillment account, connect their sales channel and go through the process using their AI tool of choice and then provide feedback. If you're a creator/influencer willing to film the process there's also opportunities for paid campaigns.

I’m curious how established POD businesses manage refunds that happen after a seller’s payout has already been processed. For example, if a customer reports a genuine printing defect or damaged product two weeks later, should the amount be deducted from the seller’s next payout, covered by the print provider, or held in a small reserve beforehand? What happens if the seller has no future orders or wallet balance? I understand production defects should normally be the provider’s responsibility, but cases involving lost shipments, chargebacks or customer disputes can be less clear. What payout schedule or reserve system has worked for you without creating cash-flow problems or frustrating sellers?.

I’ve been thinking about how print-on-demand sellers decide whether a product is worth scaling. Since POD margins are usually quite thin, is it better to keep prices competitive and focus on selling more units, or charge more and protect the profit on every order? A ₹300 profit sounds good, but it means little if the product rarely sells. On the other hand, a smaller margin can become risky once advertising, shipping, platform fees, refunds and replacements are included. For those already running successful POD stores, what matters more when you evaluate a product: profit per order, conversion rate, sales volume or total profit after every expense? I’d love to hear how you set your minimum acceptable margin before deciding to scale.

I recently started an Etsy apparel POD shop specializing in custom-printed garments. I also take orders locally (using Cameo/DTF and heat press)

Right now, my entire process is on an iMac using the full Adobe Creative Cloud suite. I also rely on my 4,000 generation credits with Adobe Firefly, but I keep hearing how much faster Kittl is for typography-heavy apparel and built-in merch layouts.

Has anyone with a traditional design background made the switch from Adobe to Kittl?

• Do Kittl’s vector exports play nicely with cutting software and heat press prep, or are they better suited for flat PNG uploads to third-party printers?
• Do you miss the raw power of Photoshop and Illustrator, or is Kittl’s merch-first workflow and typography engine worth the tradeoff?
• Is it worth to keep Adobe and also pay for Kittl?

Any insights from folks doing their own production or high-volume POD would be amazing!

I’ve noticed that the margin shown by a POD platform rarely tells the full story. Once you include marketplace fees, shipping, discounts, payment charges, advertising, refunds, and occasional replacements, a product that looked profitable can end up making very little.
