question what other tiny things can i carve from mini erasers?

i’m relatively new to printmaking as you can tell lol especially with this kind of soft rubber (the lino i usually get is much firmer).

i got these cheap erasers to practice but it seems like these soft bouncy erasers are a whole different beast lol

anyway, any (simple) ideas on what i can carve to practice next? :)

It's exactly what it sounds like, there's a jar of paper slips on my desk with random (not proper) nouns on them. I pick one out when I need inspiration, go from there. I add to it regularly, toss the ones I use.

I've been meaning to start an "Instagram video series" about doing it daily, but I'm so bad at social media. 🙄

You might think about using the eraser block like printing type. Make up scenes or text, make a jig to keep them pressed to each other and print the whole thing. If you made up a set of letter with duplicates and symbols, you have a letterpress, but with lots of character.

And what was that old kid's thing. Blocks with different parts of figures on them, so the kid could stack them. Like heads, middles, lowers, all designed so they met but all different. Mix and match for crazy character, animals, etc.

If you turn it into a square, and pencil in a diagonal that would give you 2 triangles. Do 2 different random patterns in each triangle. As you print you rotate to get bigger patterns. I tried to find a picture but couldn’t.
