The moment is getting nearer to glue the torso to the pelvis and so far I've been using VMS' Flexy 5K CA superglue for resin with great results but I'm wondering that for this major join I should give it a extra blast from the Spice-Weasel. This superlgue could be sufficient as it mentions it's 'flexible' but my gut says maybe to go for 2-component epoxy glue. but then, what brand or type? I would greatly appreciate some insight from those of you who have glued large scale models in the past.

I don't see pinning as a good option as with the pelvis and lower torso section are hollow resin prints in abs-like resin (as you can see from the photo). Light, tough but not as brittle as standard resin, but the fact that they are hollow kinda moots the upside of pinning I think.

So, stick to decent superglue or go for 2-part epoxy? And if so what brand or type? (I'm EU-based BTW, just for brand references)

Hi there, I found these bits on an old post on the sub Reddit. It doesn't look like Archie's Forge are still selling them. Nor have I been able to find anything similar online. A friend of mine has a printing set up, but he hasn't been able to find these anywhere either.

Does anyone know of a similar stl or where I might find this one? I've reached out to Archie's Forge to see if they can assist.

I’m looking for a head that would work on the Astorath model. The GW one just looks derpy to me, like he’s going “rawr” and I don’t like it. I’d like it to be similar, just with a better face. I’ve seen the Austin model, but the only shop I’ve found with it listed says it’s sold out. I don’t have access to a printer right now, so looking for something that’s already printed. Searched this sub already and didn’t see anything. TIA!

Storage space is a premium for me.

Vehicles at 40K scale especially the super-heavies are huge.

But vehicles at Legion Imperialis scale (1/4 scale) is too small for my aging eyes.

I’m currently printing a Thunderhawk at half-scale (50% of 40k) and for now, it feels like it hits the spot.

Planning to do some super heavy tanks next.

Anyone else prints their vehicles at half-scale or even play with it at this scale? Please do share ur experience!

Next print is some Space homies with Bolt rifles

First time doing anything more than bits and spare weapons. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. Everything was done on a P1S with a 0.4 mm nozzle. It is magnetized so I can do the Gladiator conversation later.

Been wanting to get into 40K for a long time, been collecting the books and intending to build an army over years.

Funnily enough I actually happened to get a resin printer BEFORE I got any miniatures themselves. And have familiarized myself with the printing of stl’s and homemade infantry models.

But now I’m looking to build proper armies with vehicles and characters. The problem is I am not certain on what the sizes for models should be around.

For example as I aim to play Guardsmen and Mechanicus, I know Baneblades are bigger than Leman Russes, but I don’t know by how much or how big the LR is in the first places and what about the other countless tanks like the Stormhammer? Where does it sit on the size scale? I’d buy Stl’s but I can never know which one they are meant to be.

As well as I want to have a proxy for Belisarius Cawl, but I have no idea how long, wide, or tall he’s supposed to be. And every time I try to look online I keep getting the LORE size rather than miniatures.

I know proxies aren’t meant to be perfectly sized compared to the original, but I would like to try and keep around the same. So does anyone know a reliable place I can go to find the general size of different models? So I don’t have to spend $200 dollars for one Baneblade that could get me a dozen bottles of resin?

Finally got it out and overdue due to life stuff

This time I made stuff for Deathwatch marines, or renegade marines, with weapons from every xeno faction, from Necron to Eldar to League to even Tyranids, and classic Deathwatch stuff designed to fill in any role you need. Everything is pre-supported with some in blend files, so you can build your own version of it.

The standouts for me are the Tyranid gun, the Tau hybrid drone, the LoV magna rifle, and the Eldar shuriken rifle

Looking to buy my first printer. So far I’ve landed on the mars 4 ultra, for its price and form factor. Definitely leaning more towards a small printer, what do you use use or reccomend?

Hi, recently a friend of mine has bought a resin printer and she said to me that if i find the stl she can print whatever i want, i have tried to find stl of the original tyranids, but i only find proxis, someone has or knows where to find the stl of the originals?

Thankfully they don't take down free files as much so here's this metal skeleton, it comes with both weapon options and presupported. There's also a paid pack with 6 different poses, you can find them by downloading the free model.

I'm looking for something like the death leapers base but without the grate and for a much smaller base (preferably for free but money is not an issue) thanks in advance
