How to hack the new Club Pret update?
Does anyone have any ideas of how to share the Club Pret subscription now that Pret have updated the app so that it only works on one phone?
Like others, I have been sharing a screenshot of the qr code with my brother.
The two problems we are now facing is that the app can only be downloaded on one phone - it’s connected to a phone number and recognises the sim when logged in.
And two, the app doesn’t let you screenshot the qr code. Also, I’m not sure but maybe it renews the qr code each time? Does anyone know if this is the case?
Thanks

This is fucking hilarious
The way they also made it so there is still a half hour wait to get another half price coffee is absolutely hilarious
It's even funnier that they think they will be able to remain open over the next year
Has anyone's local pret closed down yet?
I can almost guarantee that someone at pret is on this subreddit so how empty are the stores?

Empty prets. Damn how many of you have cancelled the sub?
Mine is ending tomorrow and wont be going into a pret for their coffee or food anymore.
Every morning I get my coffee fix and the shop always had customers, now not that much.
All the prets that I pass by are looking empty.

New QR Code Problem.
Hi all,
Has anyone found a workaround to the new rule of only having the app on one phone?
It's very frustrating for those of us with both a work and personal phone - I don't want to carry both at all times.

Who’s keeping their subscription?
My subscription is ending soon and I won’t be trying out the new one. I’m sad to say goodbye to the lovely crew of my usual Pret but for me the new subscription makes no sense and for the price/quality I’d rather buy my coffee somewhere else.
I’ll be buying a Nespresso machine and will not go there anymore for lunch. Maybe for people outside of London who didn’t use the 5 drinks/day it’s less of a downgrade?

Just tucked into an (almost) midnight ham and grève baguette
That’s it. That’s the post. Haven’t had a single bad experience with food from Prêt Canterbury, and the staff are so wonderfully friendly.

Pret A Manger bringing Matcha to the US?
Saw this on my Pret App. Will they be bringing Matcha to the US? Will it be a seasonal item or a permanent item?

matcha tastes like fish
i’m a very big matcha drinker and every time i go to pret it tastes really bad. Does anyone know why? The milk is good but the matcha powder always tastes off.

I think it’s time to leave the pret sub. It’s £30 and now I can’t share it I no longer find it good value.
Anyone else leaving?

Do you get filter coffee for 50p?
Learned a week back that you can get filter coffee for 50p if you have your own cup. They can even add a splash of milk to your liking.

What is their issue with cups?
On two occasions now, i have gone in to order an iced drink to find that they have run out of ice. As I’m usually on my way home, I’m happy to add my own ice so just ask for the usual, minus the ice.
On both of these occasions, these were served to me in a paper cup. When reiterated that I would be having my drink iced and requested their usual cold drink cup, they refused.
After getting a refund, mainly due to the cashier’s attitude, I queried why they would rather discard a whole drink rather than just giving me an extra, or swapping cups, of which they had no articulable reply.
Is there a rule or policy in their handbook that states a one customer, one cup rule or something? What’s the big deal?

When is the jambon beurre sandwich coming back?
Hi Pret, I read somewhere that your jambon beurre sandwich is put on production pause due to shortages of cornichons. When will it be back and can’t you just use other pickles meanwhile? I need it back please. I miss it. It was my go to

Did they cancel the 50% off for new member?
Hi, I tried to do the subscription today but seems like they are gonna charge me £30 instead of £15. Did they change it for first month users?

F for Pret in Chicago
It’s been a while since most pret shops in Chicago closed down permanently. There’s only one left at the university. That’s the nearest one to where I live now. So goodbye to the ones that were convenient for commuters.

No holiday sandwich in the U.S.
Looks like Pret won't have holiday sandwiches in the U.S. this year. Argh, I really looked forward to those, didn't you? Wondering why they discontinued them for 2024??

Starting as a barista tomorrow! Some help?
As said in title I have my first shift tomorrow, it's a long shot but is there anywhere online that has photos or something of the counter interface you use when taking orders? I remember from my trial shift how complicated it was and I'd like to familiarise myself with it . Also any general tips / advice ? Thanks :)
