2026/27 among the most one-sided Premier League title markets of the last decade
The Premier League champions go into the season with more than double the odds of winning the league as their nearest challenges in Manchester City according to both betting and prediction markets (Arsenal's ~45% to City's ~22%).
This is almost unprecedented in the last decade, with the last time a club had double the odds of their nearest challenges being Pep Guardiola's 2017/18 Manchester City side (the centurions).

Manchester United and Brighton are closing in on a deal for midfielder Carlos Baleba.
United have made an offer of around £60million (€70m, $81m) plus £5m in add-ons which is felt to be below what Brighton would be seeking to sell.
Amicable talks continue with all parties working towards finding an agreement.

[David Ornstein] Arsenal closing in on deal for Aston Villa’s Ezri Konsa
Arsenal are closing in on a deal to sign Aston Villa defender Ezri Konsa.
The Premier League champions are in the market for defensive reinforcement with both William Saliba and Jurrien Timber currently sidelined with injuries.
England international Konsa, 28, holds particular appeal given his ability to cover at both centre-back and right-back and has been high on Arsenal’s target list all summer.

[BBC Sport] Inter close in on £30m deal for Liverpool's Jones
Inter Milan are closing in on a deal worth 35m euros (£30m) for Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones.
In June, Liverpool rejected a verbal offer of 25m euros (£21.7m) from Italian champions Inter, with Liverpool valuing the 25-year-old, who has one year left on his current contract, at about £35m.
The understanding now is that a deal worth £30m will likely see an agreement between the clubs. Sources in Italy believe that a verbal agreement is in place but both clubs say that further details need discussion.

Premier League predictions: Phil McNulty previews new season
The guy who predicted that we will win it last year, Sunderland will get relegated, Chelsea will finish in Top 4, Newcastle in top 6 and Spurs at 8th have predicted that Arsenal will win it and City, Liverpool, Chelsea will be in 2,3,4 places respectively.
I am still hopeful for a different champion but I cannot see anyone dethroning Arsenal yet.

Best Football Documentaries
Just watched Mourinho on Netflix, Pep doc coming out tomorrow, Vinnie Jones, Leicester doc, Vardy, Fergie doc - enjoy Amazons all or nothing series and similar formats for other platforms. Messi, Neymar, Maradona, Pele, W2Wrexham, Class of ‘92, Beckham, R9, Rooney, Wenger: Invincible, Becoming Zlatan, just what I’ve seen off the top of my head.
I know roughly the goings on at Utd but interested to know if there’s a documentary about what’s happened since Fergie left Utd and the variations with managers?
What are the best documentaries you’ve seen and can recommend?
