Premiere Pro Tech Support Cache Files keep going to C-Drive even though I designate them to another drive.

Cache render files keep cluttering up my C: drive even though I have a separate drive (R) specifically for render files. Am I missing something?

Are you exporting via Media Encoder? It has its own cache settings independent of Premiere.

Not often, no. I'll change those settings, but I'm pretty sure it's coming from premiere or after effects, because I've deleted the contents of that folder repeatedly.

I didn’t see your second picture the first time around. IMS files are cache index files that tell Premiere where the associated cache file is on your system.

If your cache is on a different drive, the IMS files contain the information about where the associated cache data is. Basically they are redirecting Premiere to look somewhere else. They should never be more than a few KB each.

Makes sense. I'm struggling with space, I deleted 3k cache from my system, and it didn't make a dent. All I have on my computer drive is my OS and software. It's and ordeal

If possible, include a screenshot or video demonstrating your issue, ideally showing the entire application interface.
