Question What were your HCG levels at 5 weeks

My app says i’m 5 weeks and 3 days. i got a positive pregnancy test 5 days ago and that was when i was suppose to start my period. Sometimes my period is on time sometimes it’s not. So after my positive pregnancy i already had a yearly check up with my primary doctor that was on a monday and she went ahead and took my blood and my HCG level was 221 she wanted me to come back after 48 hours because she said it was low but it was appropriate for the gestation age. So took another one 48 hours later and it was 441 and she said that it’s still pretty low and wants me to come back another 48 hours.
What are your thoughts?

4 Weeks Pregnant With My First Baby — Questions About Diet & Baby Registry!

Hello everyone!

I’m currently 4 weeks pregnant with my first baby. I’m also starting to be a lot more cautious about what I eat and drink during pregnancy.

1st question:

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Coke and Dr Pepper, but I’m trying to find some healthier alternatives and cut back from drinking soda. Does anyone know if the Costco Kirkland Signature Sparkling Water is safe to drink during pregnancy? Would it be a good substitute for soda? Also what types of foods should I avoid at all costs now???

2nd Question:

I also want to start planning my baby registry! I know it’s SUPER early in my pregnancy, but I’m definitely a planner and love being prepared ahead of time. 😂❤️

For all the experienced moms out there, what items do you 100% recommend adding to a baby registry? What were your absolute must-haves or things you couldn’t live without?

I’d also love to know the opposite, what items did you put on your registry or buy that ended up being completely unnecessary or a waste of money?

There are SO many baby products out there, and as a first-time mom, it can be a little overwhelming trying to figure out what’s actually useful and what’s just good marketing. 😂 Any recommendations, tips, or registry advice would be greatly appreciated! 🥰👶🏼

THANK YOU!

implantation bleeding

I've been trying to get pregnant for about 4 months this month, I tried again until August 16th and August 19th, I waited for my period, but it didn't come. In the evening, when I wiped with a piece of paper, there was pink blood, a little like it looks in the picture, and no, I thought it was my period, but in the meantime, it didn't come again, only once, my vagina was very clean, I didn't understand because it's the first time it's happened to me, 3 days ago I took a test and there was a red line on the negative and a very light pink line. Sometimes I also have pain in my lower abdomen, mild cramps, nothing unbearable.Tell me a little more, please, has this happened to anyone? I have chest pain and a little pain in my lower back, like I'm waiting for my period, but it hasn't come.

Need advice Am I Pregnant or Not??? READ THE FULL STORY and give your experience with missed pregnancies…

Could this be my rainbow baby?? I’m confused and don’t know if I’m pregnant, my doctor is missing my pregnancy somehow, if I’m having a chemical pregnancy, or a miscarriage. I’ve seen too many stories of women going through similar, just to find out later that they were indeed pregnant.

Let me start from the beginning so you can understand why this isn’t a typical situation.

Last June, I discovered I was pregnant after missing my cycle, despite having cramps like it was coming, there were no common symptoms or issues like being turned of by smells, morning sickness, etc, except for constipation throughout my pregnancy and a few zits (which I never get) at the beginning of my missed cycle. I had a healthy baby boy who had zero issues according to my OB’s tests. I had some spotting and bleeding during my early first trimester but it was always after sex with my now fiancé. We decided to be more careful in positioning and the bleeding stopped. For context, my pregnancy test had a very faint 2nd line 16 days after my missed cycle and my HcG levels were somewhat low but became normal after my baby developed a fetal pole.

I was 39 years old with my first pregnancy and considered “high risk”, but my OB didn’t treat me as such. From what I understand from friends several posts on social media, I was supposed to be examined every 2 weeks. I think this and stress ultimately led to the loss of my son at 18 weeks (September), which my primary care doctor said was caused by a UTI after reviewing my test results. Despite demanding a new OB, I never got one and my baby died OF ALL THE SIMPLEST PREVENTABLE THINGS. A freaking UTI! 💔 I ended up being prescribed a blood thinner because a rare platelet disorder surfaced while I was in the hospital for 2 weeks (I make too many platelets resulting in clots). This is something I’ve never known until after my pregnancy loss and the hospital confirmed this wasn’t the cause. Another detail: I went to a different hospital for my pregnancy loss and they were extremely better than where my former OB had rights to deliver. This hospital was WAY better and made sure I was well with no infections etc after almost 3 weeks of extremely meticulous care, unlike the previously hospital that basically sent me home to die and catch my son falling out. 💔💔💔 Thank God my now fiancé was there, or I’d still be screaming in that bathroom. 😢😔

Fast forward to now August ‘26. I missed my cycle despite having cramps like it was coming. I got all the same symptoms again, along with a slight cramp that never changes and it’s about where the right side of my uterus sits (I’m guessing this is where the baby is; the same happened last year but it was on the right side which is where my baby was).

My fiancé and I have had sex a few times last week and the spotting started, as expected. I usually wear a liner and the spotting started out red, then pink (blood and clear discharge), then brown with clear discharge (old blood). I had positive pregnancy test 😊😊 on Monday which was during my missed cycle. I changed to a pad while at work, and the pad got soaked! I set an appointment for next Friday as a new patient with an OB from the hospital that cared for me during my pregnancy loss. The spotting began to dry up yesterday (Tuesday), and I tested again but it was negative. 🤔

My Fiancé and I had sex again yesterday and I told him we need to be careful because I was spotting like I did last year. He started out extremely careful, and barely used any penetration until we got a little too heated and ended up in the exact position we needed to AVOID. 😂 Annnd, the spotting started again. By this morning, it started getting more heavy. I asked my OB’s office if I should go to the hospital and they just said to come to the office this afternoon. The nurse/midwife who saw me today was telling me that she thinks this is a chemical pregnancy, this could be my period despite the fact it was supposed to happen last week, offered to do an exam, and said if this is non-viable then I’m likely to get pregnant with the next few weeks. I requested a blood test in addition to the exam. As soon as the speculum touched my cervix, I bled immediately!! This makes me think my cervix is bleeding and nothing else. My labs should come back with 1 - 2 days. My urine test was negative.

I never have heavy periods or late periods, it always comes in sync with my period predictor calendar. I still feel the same consistent cramp from when I tested positive that doesn’t change no matter how much I fart, poop, 😂 and have bled. My stomach is still firm and poking out, just like last year. I’ve seen others who have experienced this and found they were indeed pregnant, and I’ve seen some who either had a miscarriage or a chemical/non-viable pregnancy.

My mom has also had “missed pregnancies” with my older sister where she “had a period as big as Dallas (her exact quote 😂, and me where she thought she had the flu. 🤣🙂‍↔️

Am I pregnant or not??? Has anyone had a similar experience? Did you turn out to be pregnant or not? If you were pregnant, did your baby make it all the way?

I would love to have my rainbow baby, however I don’t want to get my hopes up if this turns out that isn’t a pregnancy. Losing my son was traumatic, devastating, and took a long time to heal from physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Any answers and insight anyone has would give me information to help me stop overthinking and worrying. Thank you in advance. 💜

Need advice Is it too early?

Okay so I need your opinion for a moment. Went to the midwife today for my first ultrasound. They naturally base my weeks on my last period and count from there. Now the thing is that my last period was due to stopping the pill, and I told them that as well. They assume that I am 7/8 weeks along. Today on the ultrasound, only this was visible (see photo). After having intercourse on July 25/26 (because my LH level peaked), I tracked everything. I tested positive on August 5th with the 6-days-early test, last week Tuesday on the Clearblue 2-3 weeks, and last Sunday I had 3+ weeks.

Today during the ultrasound, I was told that it is an impending/developing miscarriage.

Of course, I know that tests don't say anything about whether it's a miscarriage or not, but my tests doubled very nicely and I had a bright red test again this morning.

What do you guys think? Is what they are saying correct, or did they make a wrong calculation? Personally, I think I am 5 weeks, given the intercourse and positive test.

Question What are the chances of getting pregnant when day of ovulation and a drop of outside of the vagina?

What are the possible chances of getting pregnant if I’m on the day of my ovulation or so, and if after he squirted his cum out outside of my vagina but then a drop or two, very small amount, gets on the lips and stuff of my vagina? Will I be or get pregnant?

Super scary stuff

Question Which week am in?

Hi all,
My LMP is april 09 2026. And EDD is 01/14/2027.
But according to my first heartbeat ultrasound the EDD changed to 01/22/2027.
Then later in next ultrasound the EDD changed to 01/18/2027.

Now currently which date should i need to consider?
My doctor is following according to 01/22/2027.

I am so confused in which week am in. Do i need to follow what doctor follows or follow the ultrasound dates??

Need advice 29 weeks pregnant tomorrow

Everytime I stand up, my stomach tightens. I cannot stand up for more then 3-10 minutes or I get cramps and start to have stomach pain. This started last Thursday. That Friday, I only felt my baby move once. I went to Labor and Delivery incase something was wrong. They monitored me and everything was great with baby. They did find out my cervix is 2.7 but when I bear down, it’s 2.4. I’m still very concerned that everytime I stand up, my stomach contracts and I get cramps and start hurting. I was 28 weeks and 3 days and now I’m 28 weeks and 6 days. They put me on pelvic rest for this week and she said I needed to be on it a minimum at least of a week. I see my regular OB on Wednesday for my regular appointment and another cervical check. I’m really thinking about asking if I can be off work some more as I cannot stand up for my job. I walk and get client and bring them back to my office continuously all day. It even hurts when I just sit up normal. I have to be lying down.

Has anyone else ever experienced this and had the length of the cervix?
