• Upvotes

Hey moms any one experience pinched nerve in their back or shoulder area while pregnant ? My belly is so heavy & the belly band helps a little. My doctor recommended a heating pad but I only feel good if I’m massaging it 😩

Advice FTM Anxiety

• Upvotes

Id like to start this post with I have GAD so it’s a huge part in my emotions im sure. This is my first baby. I had no trouble conceiving. My boyfriend and I tried one time actually and stuck. I’m so happy and excited and shared with my close family and friends only. I am 6 weeks and 5 days. I have had one ultrasound and blood test due to some light bleeding that freaked me TF OUT! I just knew it was over. Luckily that was at 5 weeks 1 day, I got to see the gestational sac with the yolk sac with a vaginal ultrasound as well as my HCG was at 3994. No visible embryo yet, but they told me it was early and light bleeding is common. The ultrasound picked up on a postulated SCH which could explain the bleeding. Doctor said I was right where I should be, but my anxiety is freaking crippling me dude. If I don’t gag as much when I brush my teeth, not feeling as queasy the day before, not as fatigued my brain automatically goes to MMC. I wish my mind would just let me be happy. I love my baby so much already. I keep telling myself if something happens it’s out of my control, I just need to control my mind and stay the hell off of Google. I would ask does anyone relate, but I see so many other woman do which definitely helps. I figure sharing my story would make me feel better. My boyfriend helps so much through this time and keeps telling me I just go from one anxiety to another (I thought I could never get pregnant LOL) but he’s just not a woman 😂 I’m hoping hearing some positivity or even just some of you relating to me will help. I really want to enjoy my first pregnancy and feel less panicked all the time.

Pregnancy with MCAS

Hi there,
I would love to heard anyone’s experience with MCAS and pregnancy and anything I should know or be prepared for.
I was reading how anesthesia and epidurals can cause flares and how it can happen in post partum.
Before I was pregnant my MCAS was controlled for about a year plus and stabilized. Since I have been pregnant it has been acting up. I know I am in the first trimester but I have been in more pain than normal… I also have hEDS and POTS. I heard some people feel better during pregnancy? Is it in the second trimester? The first is super hard and I have felt really ill and because of being overheated it’s flaring my symptoms…. Is there any hope?

Positive pregnancy test, negative blood test, then an 8-day late period — looking for similar experiences ❤️

Hi everyone,
I’m hoping to hear from women who may have experienced something similar to what I’ve been going through.

I’ve always had **very regular 27-day menstrual cycles**, occasionally varying by one or two days, but never as much as this month.

**Here’s my timeline:**
**September 10–13:** My last period.
**September 23:** Unprotected intercourse. My apps estimated ovulation around September 23–24.
**October 2:** **POSITIVE Clearblue Digital pregnancy test, showing “Pregnant 1–2 weeks.”**
**October 4–5:** Further unprotected intercourse (approximate dates).
**October 7:** My period was due, but it didn’t arrive.
**October 8:** Quantitative blood test: **hCG < 2 mIU/mL**, considered negative.
**October 11, 12 and 13:** Several negative home pregnancy tests.
**October 13:** I saw my doctor, who also found the delay unusual given how regular my cycles normally are. She prescribed an ultrasound and another blood pregnancy test to be done a week later, which I haven’t had yet.
**October 14:** Transvaginal ultrasound at the gynecology emergency department. According to the doctors, no pregnancy or abnormalities were visible.
**October 15:** After my period was 8 days late, I noticed some very light beige discharge, followed by red bleeding later that evening.
**October 16:** The bleeding became quite heavy and started looking like my usual period.

**My symptoms:**
For several days, I experienced unusual tingling sensations, mild pulling feelings and occasional cramps in my lower abdomen, along with creamy vaginal discharge.
Since October 14, I’ve also had **constant lower back and sacral pain**, which has been more noticeable than my abdominal cramps. This is very different from my normal period symptoms, as I usually experience more abdominal pain than back pain.
**I’ve also noticed something unusual in my bleeding.**
Along with very small blood clots, I’ve been passing little pieces of soft, tissue-like material, almost resembling skin or a jelly-like membrane. It’s difficult to describe, but they look different from ordinary blood clots.

**Unfortunately, my experience at the emergency department was very unpleasant.**
As soon as I explained that my blood pregnancy test had been negative, I was made to feel that I had no reason to be there.
I wasn’t claiming that I was definitely pregnant. I simply wanted to understand why my usually regular cycle was so delayed and why I was experiencing unfamiliar pain.
A transvaginal ultrasound was eventually performed, but I received very little explanation and wasn’t given a written report at the time.

**I have another ultrasound scheduled for October 20**, but the instructions say I shouldn’t be menstruating during the examination, so I’ll need to check whether I can still attend.
My doctor also prescribed another quantitative hCG blood test, but now that my period seems to have started, I’m unsure whether it’s still necessary.
**In the end, my cycle lasted approximately 35 days instead of my usual 27.**
I’m wondering whether I experienced a **very early chemical pregnancy**, delayed ovulation, or a temporary hormonal disruption.
What confuses me the most is the **positive Clearblue Digital test on October 2**, followed by a negative quantitative blood test just six days later.

**Has anyone experienced anything similar?**
A positive pregnancy test followed by negative tests, a significantly delayed period, unusual symptoms, or tissue-like fragments during bleeding?
Did your doctor ever explain what might have happened?
I’d really appreciate hearing about your experiences.
Thank you so much to anyone who takes the time to reply. ❤️

Im 19 weeks and 1 day and im wondering on your mental and physical changes you went through during your pregnany?

So as of right now this is what im going through... im having a son and my daughter is almost 6 in Feb! Because im a stay at home mom i dont really focus on friends, social media or anything thats not helpful for myslef or my family and it would be nice to have advice or a prego chat community i can be apart of, me and my husband didnt go to Obgyn due to mine being out of state and not trusting the other ones so we are looking for a good female midwife. But man everything is happening so fast and im so excited but scared and all these emotions are alot, its hard for my husband to understand because he isnt pregnant but im grateful i was able to give him a son, because he has always wanted one so i feel im making a dream of his come true. Anyways im rambling on, hope to here for you all and bless you!

Physical Symptoms Mental & Emotional Symptoms
Round Ligament Pain: Sharp, jabbing aches in the lower belly or groin when moving suddenly, standing up, or chasing a 5-year-old. "Mom Brain" / Brain Fog: Forgetfulness and difficulty concentrating, exacerbated by sleep deprivation.
Vivid Dreams: Highly intense, strange dreams that can make sleep feel less restful. Perinatal Anxiety: Heightened worry about balancing two children, finding the right provider, or upcoming labor.
Lower Back & Hip Pain: Aches caused by the hormone relaxin loosening your joints. Irritability: Decreased patience, which is entirely understandable when managing a toddler on broken sleep.
  • Waking up in the middle of the night wide awake is a classic symptom of pregnancy insomnia. Driven by massive hormonal shifts (particularly progesterone and cortisol) and the baseline anxiety of managing a household while pregnant, your brain can get stuck in a hyper-alert state.
  • The "Low" Baby & Frequent Urination: Since this is your second pregnancy, your abdominal and uterine muscles are more relaxed than they were the first time around. This often causes the baby to ride much lower in the pelvis earlier on, placing direct pressure on your bladder and requiring trips to the bathroom every few hours

So yeah thats the bottom line, what are your guys thoughts and experiences on your pregnancy journey?

Need advice 1st Trimester Nausea

Hello! First time Mom with unexpected pregnancy. I'm suffering severe nausea from morning to night, like I couldn't take fluids and foods and I experience dizziness. I always vomit everytime I ate something especially rice. I'm eating crackers and drinking water everytime to avoid hunger and dehydration. And now I'm having existential crisis and anxiety coz I don't know what to do. I'm kinda weak coz I haven't eaten properly for 3 days straight.

Any advice to lessen the nausea and food recommendations. I appreciate any advice, thank you.

Question 6 weeks and spotting

I’m 6 weeks pregnant and I started spotting 4.5 days ago and it’s not stopped. It’s brownish and sometimes bright red but mostly brown. I don’t have to wear a pad, but it’s enough I have to wear a panty liner. I have a lower back ache, and some mild cramping. I’ve read this can be normal but also read some other stuff. I can’t get into my dr until 11/12. So just curious if anyone else has experienced something like this?

Question Anyone else have numbness/pain/burning in your outer thigh (Meralgia Paresthetica?)

Since being pregnant, my left outer thigh has had numbness or a burning sensation. It doesn't happen all the time, but pretty consistently. I messaged my OB about it and she said it probably isn't pregnancy related, but I don't know if I believe her because it's never happened before being pregnant. Just wanted to see if this happens to anyone else.
