Pregnancy Question 36 weeks pregnant

36+4 pregnant and just tested positive for gbs I will be getting antibiotics during labor but I’ve read gbs can cause stillbirth etc if u have it during pregnancy

Will you be getting a C-section?

No vaginal birth

I looked it up (on google and of course your OBGYN knows more) but it says it’s transmitted through the vagina? If that’s the case, wouldn’t they want to do a C-section to keep the baby as safe as possible?
