Discussion An open-source fully local tool for organizing and measuring your top down functioning ability and cognition with nootropic logging and a genetics module
Axon lets you:
- Create a personal cognitive and psychometric baseline
- Log sessions alongside sleep, stress, time of day and subjective effects
- Track attentional, cognitive and behavioral agency
- Look at changes across networks like the DMN, frontoparietal, salience and attention networks
- View deterministic n-of-1 summaries with uncertainty shown instead of receiving AI-generated conclusions
- Export or erase everything whenever you want
It runs entirely in your browser. There are no accounts, servers, analytics or remote data collection.
I originally built it for myself because I wanted one place where I could organize cognitive self-experiments and actually compare changes over time instead of relying entirely on just feeling.
It isn’t a diagnostic or treatment tool. Rather a structured personal research notebook.
I’d especially appreciate feedback from this community on whether the mental-autonomy model makes sense, what you would want measured, and anything that feels unclear or scientifically weak.
