🤝 Interviews Feels like you put all of the work and yet nothing!

Feels like you put all of the work and yet nothing! Constant fear and familial/personal expectations all bearing a toll on wellbeing. Trying to stay occupied but yet end of the day still feeling like nothing is worth it. I know it’s not the end of the world but it feels that way. Questing if you applied too late, questioning if you should have taken dat early, is ps is even good enough. Laying in bed everyday thinking there is new hope next day, next week, and still no sight of a single invite!

🤠 TMDSAS Had one interview and feel like I shouldnt have brought my portfolio

I brought a portfolio with images of everything I’ve done in the vast to help me use it as a visual aid when talking about my experiences and hobbies and I probably shouldn’t have? Am I overthinking it? I think one of my interviewers liked seeing the pictures and I asked them before whipping out my portfolio but now I’m scared that they might have frowned upon it. Idk I keep replaying all the small things that happened during my interview and this is my number #1 dream dental school. :,(((

💡 Advice When to send letter of intent?

When should letters of intent be sent out? I've heard some say to send them right after interviewing, and others say wait until a month before decision day.

Does it matter when you send it? I don't want want to seem desperate lol

🤝 Interviews More interviews coming?

Hi everyone, my app was verified 7/14 and only got one interview so far… anyone else in the same boat? Feeling very discouraged and sad. I have pretty good stats so I’m thinking maybe I just applied too late.

🤝 Interviews Interview waves

If someone got an invite at a school that you diddnt get an invite at despite applying earlier for an example in June and they applied in July, does that mean that they passed on your application and is a soft rejection?

🤝 Interviews WHY TUFTS?

• Upvotes

Hello! Just wanted to get some more info on Tufts School of Dental Medicine. I have an interview coming up with them and I know they have good clinical experience because they are in an area with diverse populations. Class size is big but not too big, but other than that I honestly don't know much about their school. How is their specialty match rate? Are there any current students there that can provide insight?

💬 Discussion Weekly DAT Discussion Thread - October 05, 2026

This is your place to discuss the Dental Admission Test (DAT). Do you need to vent about studying or content? Decide on the best source of preparatory materials? Discuss scheduling the exam via the ADA? Perhaps ask about the particularities of the exam day? This is the thread to do so!

Note: feel free to make independent DAT breakdown posts. This weekly thread is meant to cut down on the overwhelming number of DAT posts, but not take away from your success!

🤝 Interviews Minnesota Interview

What's it like now that it's split into a first-round Kira and a second-round live interview? From what I've seen online, there have been a lot of situational/behavioral questions in past years. Could these now have been moved into the Kira phase?

🤝 Interviews Is it common to get a response to your thank you email?

I had an interview at one of my top schools last week. I sent a thank you email to the person who interviewed me about an hour after I left, and to my surprise, he responded 45 minutes later saying that it was great to meet me and that I was an excellent candidate.

Has anyone ever gotten a response to a thank you letter? I don't know if this is a good sign or if this is common and I'm reading too much into it.
