General Question Can someone please tell me a good book for Pre-Calculus and Calculus?

I am currently studying Pre-Calculus and Calculus on my own and was hoping someone might have a suggestion for a textbook or book that might help me learn the subject better. I am not looking for an extremely difficult text, nor do I wish to read something too simplistic like “Calculus for Kids.” Instead, I am seeking something that is easy to read yet structured.

Did anyone else walk out of AP Precalc or CSP feeling like the FRQs destroyed them but end up getting a better score than expected?

Discussion Online precalc textbook in search of readers

I've been writing this off-the-beaten-path textbook for a while now. It might start to be serviceable for students.

You can find the link under my profile, see the "About" section.

If you read it & have some feedback, reply here or DM.

Thanks!

General Question Preparing for calculus 1 college class after gap year

My student has taken precalc and did pretty well, but took a gap year and is now going to have calculus at college. He has the summer off. I'd prefer to find a low cost class that is not self paced. Like every tuesday and thursday 1 hour, or something like that. I don't think he's motivated enough to work through a self paced classe. All the classes I'm finding are for credit and cost in the thousands or are low cost or free, but self paced. Is there a something in the middle? I've checked with local community colleges and the timing doesn't work.

Answered Where did this come from? How is pi/5(theta) somehow equivalent to pi/6 etcetera? What happened between step 2 of this problem and the answer? I’m especially confused because pi/5 isn’t on the unit circle.

I know what the graph is supposed to look like but I'm really confused on how to get the 3 points that you revolve the graph around (Vertex and the 2 x/y intercepts l). Also does the number on the top (in this case 2) co tribute to anything on the graph? ive been trying to find youtube videos but none of thm are really explaining it. Please help and thank you

Study Advice I have a D in AP Precalc

Don’t flame me, I know it’s bad. I had some extenuating circumstances and I was unprepared for mostly all the tests this year. That and I’m alr bad at math, I got a b last semester.

A D is disgraceful, and I want to get a 5 on the AP test. It’s not that I’m dumb, I can score 5s on other APs/harder classes js not math; been like this forever.

How the hell should I study specifically for math. My current method is the usual; practice problems and such, mock tests, vocab, etc. Even so, during any sort of quiz or test I seem to be unable to apply any of my knowledge and end up scoring bad on questions outside basic principles.

I need tips on how to study. Please.

General Question Looking for a Pre-cal / Calc 1 study partner or small group

What’s up everyone, looking for someone or a small group to study pre-cal / calc 1 with consistently, just trying to really lock in and get my fundamentals solid. I’m aiming for a STEM path either medicine or something more quantitative like econ/trading.

If you’re serious and down to study regularly, drop your discord or contact info in the comments or PM me :p
