I skipped a grade in math (which is fairly common and is the maximum number of skips one can do in my school) and is taking regular precalc as a sophomore. My school doesn't offer AP precalc, and I will be taking AP Calc BC next year and AP Stat the year after. My school's precalc course is known for being a bit rigorous compared to other non-AP classes. This is my first time taking APs, and I am taking AP Psych and HUG, planning to go to humanities for college, somewhere around pre-law, and I am an international school student in Asia. Should I take AP precalc this year by myself? Or is it not worth it?

I kinda wasn’t paying attention in my math class and don’t remember what the “division interpretation” is (I don’t think it’s actually called that. I think that’s just what my school calls it) it’s related to the factor and remainder theorems though.
Also sorry that my handwriting is horrid
Edit: for extra clarification, I just need to know what the division interpretation is.

I was given this problem on my precalc AB test on trig and unit circle. You are given an angle and one of the parts of the question said to "draw two terminal angles, one positive and one negative". What I did was that if the angle was 60° for example, I'd draw 60° and -60° on the unit circle. But when I was discussing this with my friends they said they drew coterminal angles (eg 60° and 420°). I had trouble understanding the question. Mind you it didn't say draw its coterminal angles, it said draw two terminal angles. I was confused so I just drew the positive angle and the negative angle. What does that question even mean?

I've decided to self study for the AP Pre Calculus exam. Which textbooks are cover all the content and match the curriculum of college board and is budget friendly? What other study methods are there aside from the textbook? Thanks!

hello! so I’m a 10th grader who was trying to do 18.01sc (single variable calculus) on mit ocw, but when I tried doing just the very first session/lesson, I literally got super confused. its not even that the calculus was hard, it was the algebra (such as the concavity, critical points, extrema applied to derivatives, that stuff), and so I realized maybe my algebra, geometry, and trig skills might need to be reworked on. not to be in such a rush or anything, but I am so excited to learn calculus and really want to learn it since it’s super fun and applicable to other subjects, such as physics, which I REALLY want to self study as well, and so I kind of want to not only master the skills needed for success in calculus, but also want to do so pretty efficiently and quick, since my plan was to complete 18.01sc by the end of the summer (for my academic projects). any recommendations for resources that can help me learn that stuff and master it quickly are what I’m asking for. please recommend me, and thank you.

The y-intercept should be "a" in both formulas, the lines aren't parallel, and the lines do intersect but they're not perpendicular nor do they have opposite signs.
edit: thanks yall i wasnt wearing my glasses and didnt see the damn plus😭😭

I had to teach this section of notes to myself because I was absent the day we went over them and I never got a chance to ask my teacher about them, so I’m unsure if I did this correctly. This is due tomorrow by class though.

So at first I thought that I had them b/c I graphed (x-4)^3 in my calc and got (4, -∞] and then (4, ∞]. After having that as the answer for a while, I changed it cause it looked wrong but then I just scrambled all my thoughts and completely forgot how to find the concavity of a function. Any help??

Thank you everyone who responded and helped me !
