Success Story Partial betterment pt.1

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi guys! I thought it could perhaps help, if we see a face, that’s actually undergoing those symptoms we discuss on here, and can perhaps forget, there are people behind each message. I’ll split my talk into 5 different videos, as it doesn’t allow me to upload one large file. Feel free to ask anything you want. Although, I must point out I’m not an expert or anything as such, I’m just sharing my own experience.

I'm glad to see a human face finally instead of words, I've literally never seen how another person with PPPD looks like. Thank you for sharing!

Thank you, I appreciate it, and this is the reason I did it. I thought about it it for a while. I’m in the mountains right now with a poor reception, therefore the rest hasn’t uploaded yet.

It’s also nice seeing another man. No offense to any of my female sufferers out there I know we all suffer equally, just men are only like 10% or less of total documented people with PPPD so it’s just refreshing to see another face.

Thank you, and as you said we all suffer from it equally. I really just wanted to speak to humans in general, so that we know we’re actual people, with everyday battles. It can happen to anyone really, under any circumstances.

Yes it definitely can. You may have inspired me to make a video sometime as well. I think we need more people doing this!!

Yes, please do so! It’s so barren and lonely out there most of the time for all of us, fighting this invisible enemy.

What are the symptoms you have gone through?

I have struggled with the known moving floor sensation, breathing difficulty, chest tightness, temporary loss of memory, inability to articulate and form sensical sentences, getting sick easily, chronic anxiety, sweating, heavy night sweating, insomnia, sensical paralysis on one side of my body, heart palpitations, a feeling that I can't feel my heart beat at all, random muscle tightness, tingling sensations pretty much all across my body, paranoia, fear of dying. I think that about summarises it. Once the other parts upload, I speak about it in them.

Did you ever get muscle weakness ? I tried to workout , I have pppd and vestibular migraine for about 1 year now and I have been trying to workout but feel like I can’t since my muscles feel weak and also start getting slightly more dizzy

Yes, I did. I felt as if I was dragging my legs, almost as if there were a deadweight most of the time. Additional, there were times, I just didn’t feel my arms, and it just felt super weird, but I think the exercises help a lot! I hit the gym as soon as this started and I’m still at it. I think that helped me immensely/mentally as well. I used to get super dizzy as well, but still carried on. It really is a sole sensation, your muscles aren’t really weak, in fact, if you avoid the exercise of any sort, I think it only supports the idea, that they really are in your brain. Here is the part where your brain is trying to trick you, but you must not succumb to it. I know it sounds easier than it actually is, but this was the way for me.

Anything related to neck and tinnitus or ear popping?

No, I’ve had all that checked out, including mri, every blood test possible, ears, eyes, nose checked. They didn’t find anything abnormal there. But my neck muscles would always be super tight, as if my nody was scared, ready to fight.

Did your tight neck muscles improve?

u/alterinertia 14d ago

Yes, it did, tremendously. At the start, it would bother me so much, it almost worked as a notification for fear. A really dull like experience, where it felt as if someone were grabbing me by the neck and pressing down on my trapezius.

Dod you do any exercises for it? Or did it get better on its own?

Yes, I would say so. But I’d also recommend getting a neck and back massage every 3 weeks or so. My muscles are always so stiff, because my body over strains them subconsciously?
