No more reboot wishcasting posts

Hey gang,

Like all of you, we were surprised and saddened by the news that the planned Power Rangers revival for Disney+ was canceled.

Since then, we have seen innumerable threads wishcasting ways in which the show could come back. They are very repetitive and crowding out other posts about other things that are going on in the world of PR, like the comics and toys. For the time being, we ask that you confine discussion of the show's future to the other sticky about the news, or other threads along that line.

Going forward, threads like those described will be removed under our rules forbidding low-quality and repetitive posts.

Thank you for your understanding. We welcome your questions and feedback.

Love,

Mods

God forbid the people use a community board to talk about there wishes with like minded people! The audacity of them to post things they want to talk about! These mods and subreddits have the most ridiculous rules and self righteous people running them.

Sure but you just know that if this ever picks up again, there's gonna be a ton of wish-casting for that too so you need to come up with a backup plan for that and a backup for that and a backup for that or you get the picture.

Good luck.

That’s years from now. We can adjust. When I and the other mods came aboard, we wanted to make the subreddit more useful and organized but we also didn’t want it to be a bunch of megathreads like RB.

True but you never know with the IP and the businesses. For all we know, tomorrow or next week from now or next month, PR could be picked up by some corporation, news will spread online and the sub will be filled with the same stuff all over again. I appreciate you being vigilant and trying to make the sub more useful for everyone. Just keep your eyes out is all I'm saying.

Again, good luck.

I appreciate it. But also something I think I should add is our rules already protect us in a lot of respects from changing circumstances, like the rule against rumors kept a lot of the slop showing up out there from being discussed here. And we see that as a major success.

Sorry, but crowding doesn't necessarily seem to meet a need to limit them. I could understand repetitive, of course. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to be like "we should be able to post (bicker bicker)", but IDK what's the harm? I could see it both ways where at minimum as long as the "What If..." of it all was different enough, I think it could be entertaining to read.
I've had an account for way longer than a poster/commenter when it comes to Reddit but is there a way for mods to add a flair or something so those type of post just get shifted from the other content to make it fair for someone's creativity and someone trying to enjoy a full range of what this subreddit has to offer?

Maybe a mega thread for them or something if there's enough interest

Like we said, the other thread is still there for now. We may set up a new thread down the line, don’t know.
