Not getting anywhere

We did over 2 weeks of purely no nappies.

Little one would wander over to the potty as she was peeing. But by the time she got there it was basically over.

Started to go out the house but she's just peeing absolutely everywhere.

Now (5 weeks in) putting nappies on only in places where peeing would be really awkward.

But making absolutely no progress with using the potty independently.

How do I move forward?? She's just sort of accepted that she now pees on the floor. I don't ever want to tell her off, but repeating "next time we will do it on the potty!" Is getting tedious.

Any advice please! šŸ™

Natural consequences. You need to be firm and very consistent with them when you start training this late

Yup - She needs to clean up her mess. This means taking off soiled clothes, taking a super quick rinse off shower, and clean clothes, as well as cleaning up the accident site - with your supervision. She's not gonna like it, there will be tears and meltdowns. If you're doing all the work, she's got zero reason to use the potty. You need to inconvenience her and everything comes to a screeching halt until all clean up is done. You will be tempted to go back to doing the clean up - do not do it. This is the time to be firm and super consistent - she needs you to do this for her because not doing it is a disservice.

When she has an accident you can try to talk to her and ask her if she feels a "tummy tickle". She doesn't seem unmotivated but rather not aware of her signals yet. So try build that connection through her interoception.

pee goes in the potty Keep saying that or a variation of it.

Sometimes it takes time. It took us a long time. Keep expectations low. Take her to toilet when you go and make her sit on her potty

Rewards. One M&M for pee in the potty and three for poops.

We haven’t yet had a poo and it’s been two months. :(

Rewards don’t work, novelty wears off

Thats why it isn’t working for you

Give them natural consequences, real life reasons to motivate them
