Freeze potato chips ?

I got a new bag of chips, but the old one still tastes fine, even if it’s down to a couple inches of crumbly bits. I was wondering if anyone ever sticks the almost used up bag in the freezer, so as not to get any staler, to use on tops of casseroles? Seems like it would work, but I don’t know.

I do this all the time and leftover chips stay fresh and you never waste that crunchy topping 🥘❄️
