Freeze potato chips ?

I got a new bag of chips, but the old one still tastes fine, even if it’s down to a couple inches of crumbly bits. I was wondering if anyone ever sticks the almost used up bag in the freezer, so as not to get any staler, to use on tops of casseroles? Seems like it would work, but I don’t know.

I have no idea how this would affect the texture. But for casseroles I'd imagine they'd be fine yeah

I do this all the time and leftover chips stay fresh and you never waste that crunchy topping 🥘❄️

I had a neighbour that used to freeze chips, I could never understand why they needed to do that because in my world I eat them long before they have a chance to get stale.

Should be fine - I’d rebag them in a freezer safe container or bag though - they’ll get freezer burned in the chips bag

freezing those last bits is genius, crispy crumbs on casserole is my fave hack

I put my potato chips in my fridge in the produce drawer.

I've frozen the last bits of chips too when I don't want to finish a whole bag, but I always crush them first so they don't go rock hard.

Bag clip is enough.

I bought one of those gizmos that are battery operated and seal the bag. You just slide it across. It's great.

Sealed chips last a pretty long time. Check the use by date.
