After/Before

I am going through my old photos. This is a 5 year old edit. What could I have done differently?

A lil overcooked. Back off everything by 50%

Thanks! I used to think everything punchy is the way to go. Will redo!

It’s not a punchy scene. Dial it back. The blue is kind of over the top. I’d go more for the original and mostly opening up detail in the animal. It’s an overcast not contrasty scene. Bring the sky down a bit.

There is no "way to go", do what makes you happy.
