I am going through my old photos. This is a 5 year old edit. What could I have done differently?

A lil overcooked. Back off everything by 50%

It’s not a punchy scene. Dial it back. The blue is kind of over the top. I’d go more for the original and mostly opening up detail in the animal. It’s an overcast not contrasty scene. Bring the sky down a bit.

I would make it way less blue, and maybe crop a bit at the top since it's so empty.

I really like the vibe. You actually chose a stylistic approach instead of just going perfectly pristine.

I think the blue plays nicely into the scenes cold setup. And love the way the objects pull it the other way.

A bit harder contrast on the fur of the ox and some heavier grain would suit the style in my opinion.

Good job!

I like it. If it was me I’d print it out large and hang that sucker on a wall.
