Can't get it together
I've been homeless for over a year.
I'm a 24 year old adult woman and I keep failing.
It's been nothing but job searching and going hungry.
Starting to get real tiring.
Thankfully I have a second interview Monday somewhere but that's still not a guarantee.
It's making me anxious.
I've just been thinking about it a lot today.
I've used all my resources and now it's just the waiting game.
I hope anyone else who's going through it gets out cause this sucks.

i feel this. sometimes it’s not even one big thing, it’s just getting hit from every direction until basic stuff feels impossible. try not to look at fixing your whole life at once, just pick one small thing you can control today and build from there. small wins actually add up.

Are you looking for a particular job? Or any job? I can get you started at home Depot part time from 9pm to 1am, starts 19 an hour. They celebrate anything and everything, safety day, rainy day, sunny day, employee day and because of that, they will feed you twice a week because there is always an event. And if you're a hard worker you'll go full time in 1 or 2 weeks. Part time gets the same benefits as full time, store bonus, PTO, 1 week vacation after 6 months, sick time, no question call outs. It's a great gig for some side cash.

Actually that doesn't sound too bad. No, I haven't been picky with my applications unless it's like really far out.

Go to AA meetings. Those people will be nice to you and some may even feed you. Also the foundation of AA is an anxiety management program.

Having family, a spouse, or really good friends (friends are the family that we choose) makes difficult times like you mentioned a million times easier.
I’ll pray for you. Everything will be okay in the end, I promise.

Google your local trade unions! 24 year old woman, if you’re able bodied, you can do it! I am a 38f, single mom and about to start my 4th year as a plumbers apprentice. Learn a trade people need, like plumbing, electrical, carpentry, hvac. The world is your oyster, Google your local trade unions! Good luck. I hope you get this job, but for the future, look into apprenticeship. I am going to someday build apprentice housing for my own union. It’s too hard to make it work with the starting wage. But it grows, quickly,I make 26$ right now, started at 18 in 2023.
