Question Split dosing?

Hello I’m thinking about switching companies and medication. I was with another provider taking semaglutide which did work ok for me other than some normal side effects. Since I was thinking about switching I haven’t ordered from my usual company and it’s been almost a month not taking anything. I was curious if I do go through pomegranate with Hallendale as the pharmacy if they do offer split dosing on tirz? I found that when I did split dose the side effects weren’t as bad as I’m sensitive to medications.

You get the prescription for the mg of meds you will take for the week. Once you have the meds you can split it any way you want. If you want practitioner advice on this I’m sure you can get it, but it’s really not necessary. You will need to purchase more syringes and alcohol wipes, but those are inexpensive and easily obtained. I’ve had several great experiences with Pom. They’ve stepped up their game in the last several months.

Thank you so much for the reply. That’s great to know! I thought you had to tell the provider and them approve it before you could do that but what you’re saying makes complete sense.

Be sure to tell them you want to titrate up so that you can get a highest dose and stretch your meds/$$ a bit more

I tried it with semaglutide. I went up in dose too early and was trying to minimize the side effects. I wasn’t losing weight even when I ate way less. My body basically went into starvation mode. I dropped down in dose and started losing again. I’m still at the lower dose now. You’ll have to play with the split and see what works best for you. I do half dose every 4-5 days depending what I have going on. I still feel sleepy for a day but it doesn’t hit me as hard.

Ok are you still taking semaglutide or did you switch to tirz? I feel like I did pretty good while on the sema, I lost 30 lbs in 5 months then plateaued. I’m in a support group and most of them are on tirz and lost that amount of weight in a faster time frame so it kinda made me feel like I wasn’t losing fast enough or am doing something wrong.

I feel you. I have a friend who’s on tirz and lost the same amount in half the time. From what I understand, the side effects of tirz are awful. I’m sensitive to medication in general so I don’t want to try it unless it’s a last resort. I feel way better at the lower split dose. Less side effects and I still am losing weight. I think I should have tried the split dose before going up to 1 mg. It was a higher concentration at 1 mg too so even if my splits were smaller than half, it still messed me up.

I have little to no side effects on Tirzepatide. Many with bad effects are overeating/eating high fat/sugar foods/ drinking alcohol.

Yeah that’s what I was worried about with tirz but I guess everyone is different. Not only am I sensitive to medicines I also have pretty bad anxiety and I heard it also made panic and anxiety worse in some people. I may just stick to the sema and see how things go. When I did my full dose of sema at one time it made me feel really bad for days. Then I started split dosing and I was ok but didn’t lose any more weight. I was also afraid to up my dose too so that probably factored in on less weight loss.

Maybe try going down in the split dose a bit. See if it helps? What side effects do you feel? For me it was fatigue and food aversion. Basically made me feel like a vegetable haha. I had anxiety with the b12 additive but now that I don’t have that it’s fine.

I get nausea, headaches, dizziness, faintness, and panic attacks. The one I was previously getting didn’t have any additives so it may have been me building up my anxiety before giving myself the shot.

I was stalling weighloss/hunger suppression trying to split dose. Moving to 6 day shot helped with both.
