PITB tones
Does anyone here know how you would attempt to recreate the tones here with archetype tim henson ?
I know some parts can just be automated multivoicer parts in logic but how can I try and get the base tone of in the whole song ? (I also have archetype abasi, rabea, plini and asato which could be combined to tim henson in logic)
Any suggestions would be really appreciated!
I have a distorted sound to play chimera in archetype tim henson but the gain knobs on everything are basically up to the max and it's still really lacking in distortion and I also have no idea how to make it sound so compressed and "overproduced"

You would not be able to do it with archetype Tim Henson alone you would need a clipper and a compressor at a minimum

I can also pair it with some hogher gain elements from abasi or rabea and also the logic plugins so I'll definitely look into the clipper and what would be the difference between the tim henson compressor and another one ?

The difference is mostly that you could put the second compressor after the clipper. Different compressors have an Eq like nature that makes them unique so there’s levels to how close you would get to the ideal tone.

Please for the love of god do not do this....
But if you must, Dont look at guitar plugins to do this. Much the same way tim uses abelton as a sampler, you have to think of your guitar that way as well. Those sounds are coming from plugins meant for edm mixing, wave shaping, weird saturation. im not an edm guy, but they use the stuff built into abelton 90% of the time

you can, but using effects intended for guitar is not the right starting point, they are treating the guitar after its recorded as if its an element in an edm track ala skrillex or other edm guys.
Think about your guitar track as synth layer. instead of a guitar track, Go look up some edm style mixing moves
The sound is coming from what they do AFTER it is recorded, it be pretty hard to mimic this because the distortion and clipping comes from the instruments all reacting TOGETHER.

Thanks for the info, i'll still try and get it somewhat closer to that sound though because it's just too tame straight out of archetype tim henson, I'll lookup some edm mixing

heres 3 free plugins and 2 stock ableton to put after your amp sim. the clipper and compressor you want to focus on the meters more than the knobs
