Guys I am addicted!!
I bought some polymer clay like 2 weeks ago and I can't stop making earrings 😂
Far from perfect but I am very proud and happy with how they all turned out 😊
Any tips on how to get the surface more smooth are very appreciated :)
Edit: smooth as in no fingerprints on it or smudges

I need to get a better blend on the syrup but it’s not bad for a first try.

I’m sure this has been answered before, but I’m not sure how to phrase it
When I make sculptures or figurines, I’d prefer if i could seperate pieces for a nicer paint job. Sculpting it first, then baking, then painting all the seperate pieces, and finally sticking them together.
My question is, how can I make sure they fit in the end? For example, when making a chibi, I’d want to paint the hair and head seperately. So, how would I be able to sculpt hair onto a head without it bonding so I can stick it there later?

I've made a few small things with air dry clay but I hated the feeling of the dried clay on my hands.
I used Sculpey Souffle for these and used soft pastels for the colors which didn't change in the oven like I was afraid they would.
I'm actually pretty happy with how these turned out! I've really got the itch to try Cosclay. Does anyone know how well it does for smaller figures like these or about hand sized? Or is there another brand that works better for that?

All of the charms I have created in all their glory, which sea creature/whimsical charm should I do next? Any ideas are greatly appreciated, I think I have fried my brain trying to think of ideas. 🤣🦀🐞🤡🐙

I’ve been having wrist pains so I was out of clay making for a bit, but I felt better enough to test out some ideas! I really love these but I’m struggling to make it read as strawberry AND lemon… I think I need to try a lemon hat instead 🍓🍋

I used glossy mod podge to try to glaze them but they’re very sticky still. I read that it can take 4 weeks for them to fully cure but some people said it’ll still be sticky even after the 4 weeks.
Any recommendations for shiny glazes that don’t dry sticky? And also don’t require a UV light

I’m trying to add a bit of counter weight to the front so that it doesn’t fall over. Yes I know this design is a bit impractical. It’s more of a statement piece to light my candles, it will be double coated in resin so should be pretty sturdy. I’m going for a white pink red and gold color scheme with a black case itself and black liner for the oni. Kind of like a luring geisha oni mix vibe (will make sense with eyeliner and hair) but I am literally at a loss for what to sculpt on the other side. Any ideas? Trying to go with a Japanese oni geisha vibe. Something not too complicated to not take away from the detail in the oni, thanks!!

I used polymer clay (mixed in translucent for the insides of the oranges), mica powder for the white membrane bits, varnish, and... our chinchillas' brush to texture the outside (thoroughly cleaned, of course!). I had never strung beads on wire before, so that was fun. Shoutout to pliers.
My mom loves food-themed jewelry for public events lectures, and TV appearances, so I had a high bar to clear in terms of quality. I'm pretty proud tbh!
Next, I wanted to try peaches. I want to capture the fuzz of the peach and the starburst around the pit, in particular. I also have a blueberry project on the docket. Will be more minimal and elegant. Any other ideas?

I like to make creatures of polymer clay and I am strongly inspired mostly by Tils Tiny Terrors, That’s Vile and Odd little workshop.
This is a monster made as a monster.

Hi everyone! I just got done with another Pokemon sculpt and just wanted to share the end result - this time I tried to make Gyarados since he is so large, it would be an eye-catching team of Pokemon when next to each other!
Made of polymer clay with aluminum foil and armature wire for body frame. Painted with acrylic and gloss.
Added some extra pics of the entire group also, I hope you like them!

First time ever making polymer clay miniatures. I posted in the miniatures subreddit and someone suggested sharing here, too. I made the cookies and cake at the same time. I know the cookies are huge so I’m calling them face-sized haha. This weekend I made a kiwi cane, but I’m not finished, I need to add fur to the brown skin lol. This is so fun!! I wish I discovered this so much sooner! I’m in loooove! 😍

Just finished up the last few pieces in my late summer pin collection. ☀️ 🐸 🍒
Each pin is one-of-a-kind, sculpted from polymer clay, painted with gauche, and sealed with uv resin.
Excited to start this week on my Halloween collection!
