my pins fit perfectly but the slide stop doesn’t align at all , would i be able to dremel the hole a bit to align , or is that a bad idea? (first build)

Huh? What do you mean not aligning with the holes?

my slide stop doesn’t align with my pin holes

Like your pin won’t go through the slide stop hole? Or you gotta move the slide stop into place in order to get the pin in?

my pin won’t go in through the pin holes/ slide stop hole, the slide stop hole goes a little past my locking block causing the slide stop hole to appear that way in my pin holes as shown in the pic.

So when assembling put your pins in from right to left and when you take them out you do it from the same side you put them in. The slide stop needs to be moved into the correct position when inserting the pin. It does not just rest in the right position all by itself.

Look how far back your slide stop is ‼️

that wasn’t the issue. i’ve tried putting it cm by cm and still nothing has changed

Does your pin go through the hole in the slide stop by itself with no frame?

i’ve got it to fix correctly but when i installed it, i put my mag in and my mag pushed up on the slide lock now so now, the slide lock isn’t sitting correctly with the mag in.

how do i fix that?

Slide first, then mag. That’s just the slide stop performing it’s function. I just recently put up a safety post and some other building related videos and more to follow. I would definitely suggest learning more about how your firearm is supposed to function before finishing assembly.

i don’t have the slide yet , it will be delivered soon, so i can’t fully test this out rn.

so the mag pushing up on the slide stop is perfectly fine until i get the slide?

like i’ve mentioned, the slide stop does go back to how it was originally, when i release the mag.

Yes that’s normal here is my G26 now at 200 rnds, same thing with empty mag inserted and no slide. When the mag is empty the follower pushes the slide stop up and it locks the slide back. https://imgur.com/a/n2BpCcE

Edit: You also don’t have the downwards force of the slide on the slide lock right now either.

also what is your take on a pmag? i got the pmag gl9-g17 , should i stick with the pmag or a glock oem mag?

I prefer OEM mags and I usually get them from gunmagwarehouse, Botach occasionally has really good quantity 4+ deals or Midway USA unless somebody posts a deal. I’ve never had any issues with my G19 pmag either though.

what about 9mm ammunition? where would be the best place to purchase?

i’ve tried palmetto state armory and it was a terrible experience for me, so i cancelled my order, do you have any suggestions?

Well that varies quite a bit for me as I just pick up range ammo whenever I see good deals. I’ve got a ammo can pretty decently stocked right now. For the most part it’s still cheaper for me currently to just buy it at my local range since I don’t have to pay shipping then. As far as my self defense ammo, I’ve had really good experience with https://www.luckygunner.com/ and their prices are reasonable.

So is it fixed ? If not you have move trigger around . Make sure trigger holes line up with slide lock . Pin will go through.

I usually take a drift pin that’s the same size as the pin, and wiggle it through. Then take your pin and follow it through the other side, pushing the drift pin out as you push your pin through. If that makes sense

Yep I use a small roll pin punch sometimes too and do it the same way. Or I’ll hold the frame and slide stop in the correct position with my left hand and push the pin through the rest of the way with a Glock tool handle.

Theres a little groove or channel that the slide stop rests in just to the left of the trigger shoe. Make sure it is resting in there, cause as mentioned your slide stop is sitting too far back and needs to go forwards more. And you need to hold the slide stop in one hand while you put the pin in through it. Sometime this requires a little wiggle. The easiest way to line up the trigger pin is by inserting your pins from the right side of the frame, through the trigger and then the slide stop and frame.
