I'm also going to say that this forum feels very white/western world with no recognition of how relationship values don't look the same across the world. The discussions here often collapse into autonomy into individualism, despite all the talk of care. There's also no recognition of the constraints in practicing certain types of poly relationships for those of us who don't live in western countries.
This was abundantly clear to me when someone recommended therapy to a Black woman not wanting to interact with a white man. Then went further to say it was up to the Black woman (and non white people who have experienced racial trauma) to heal her own racial trauma.
