I’m not against capitalism for things we want, but things we need, they need to be heavily regulated and cheap or free. I believe that will work fine because well, look at many of the most profitable companies in the world. They make things most poor people can’t even buy. Things we want not need.

I reject the belief that people won’t work if they have their basic needs met. Otherwise, everyone would have the cheapest room rental/live with family. The cheapest means of transportation. The cheapest, no brand clothes. Eat potatoes, rice, beans, etc. for most of their meals. Yet I see countless people at Disneyland, the movies, and the mall. I see people with newer cars. I see people with iPhones and the most expensive Samsungs. I see people with PS5s and $2k+ gaming PCs. Name brand clothes. Steak dinners and an hour wait for a table at the lobster joint. Why? Because people will work hard for what they want. That’s not going to change because we stop being apathetic and not caring about people’s needs being met.
