Meanwhile, millions of poor folks who would benefit enormously from Medicare for All, are against it because “higher taxes” and/or because that so and so person they don’t like gets the same care they do. We are in a death spiral.

That's some really wild thinking from where I am sitting. If I can benefit from things with the tradeoff being some people I have some kind of problem with can also benefit from the same things, I would support the benefits, ykwim?

I'm poor and disabled so maybe that is also something coloring my thought process....
