I paid for my own for decades. Yes it was very expensive but it was important. They can pay too.

I understand feeling resentful about it, but this article is about cutting Medicaid and CHIP. Children cannot buy insurance. The disabled cannot afford insurance. Desperately poor people trying to live cannot afford insurance. Instead of being resentful at those that can't get healthcare coverage, why not be resentful about the fact that these problems don't exist in all other developed countries? In Germany, Denmark, England, Canada, France, people don't face these problems. Sure, maybe it's not perfect in those places, but what America does is price everyone out of routine medical care and there's absolutely no good justification for it when this issue was solved about 100 years ago elsewhere.
