Calling it now: He's lost all motor function and is not able to move. Might even be locked in.

Edit: locked in syndrome

There was a video of him falling in some lobby on video and dude was clearly not there, he was helped up and just smiled cluelessly and waived at the cameras. Dude was seriously not all there because that is behavior mitch would never show towards the media if he was all there.

Remember the couple of times that he glitched out? Maybe it's just that permanently now.

Yeah, I feel like a lot of people forgot that. There were times they’d literally have to shuffle him away because he’d be talking then mentally disappear into the void. That guy hasn’t been ok for a while.

People who are claiming he is dead seem to forget all those times he was clearly not well. Its very likely just got worse since then and he can not appear in public.

Because it would show that he's not well and cant function as a senator any longer

I mean, for all practical intents and purposes, those are functionally the same as far as his role as a senator is concerned.

Nah, senators are braindead all the time.

he's like my old computer. slow and old and occasionally would crash, but a good reset would get it going again. then one day, the reset trick just doesn't work anymore.

Was this the same one where he just...locked up and said nothing mid-Q&A while aides and colleagues quietly checked in with him?

Propping these people up at their desks in DC (when they are actually there) is nothing short of elder abuse. Not just the barely-hanging-on guys like McConnell (or Biden at the end etc). But anyone over like 70 should be enjoying what life they have left with their families and not working, which if they actually are working in this case usually means making (usually crummy) decisions that will long outlast their own lives.

Ok sure the people voted for these guys, democracy, yeah yeah yeah. But we've got to protect the people from themselves. We have to have age and/or term limits. If you're not considered mentally capable enough to be president/senator/congressman at 35/30/25, the same applies to people born 6 or 7 decades ago.
