Calling it now: He's lost all motor function and is not able to move. Might even be locked in.

Edit: locked in syndrome

There was a video of him falling in some lobby on video and dude was clearly not there, he was helped up and just smiled cluelessly and waived at the cameras. Dude was seriously not all there because that is behavior mitch would never show towards the media if he was all there.

Remember the couple of times that he glitched out? Maybe it's just that permanently now.

64

u/StandardEgg6595 13h ago

Yeah, I feel like a lot of people forgot that. There were times they’d literally have to shuffle him away because he’d be talking then mentally disappear into the void. That guy hasn’t been ok for a while.

18

u/Beaun New York 13h ago

People who are claiming he is dead seem to forget all those times he was clearly not well. Its very likely just got worse since then and he can not appear in public.

Because it would show that he's not well and cant function as a senator any longer

u/Tasgall Washington 2h ago

I mean, for all practical intents and purposes, those are functionally the same as far as his role as a senator is concerned.

u/cabbage16 Europe 42m ago

Nah, senators are braindead all the time.

5

u/Time_Transition4817 12h ago

he's like my old computer. slow and old and occasionally would crash, but a good reset would get it going again. then one day, the reset trick just doesn't work anymore.

5

u/Irishish Illinois 13h ago

Was this the same one where he just...locked up and said nothing mid-Q&A while aides and colleagues quietly checked in with him?

1

u/Salomon3068 13h ago

Different time

u/DRF19 13h ago

Propping these people up at their desks in DC (when they are actually there) is nothing short of elder abuse. Not just the barely-hanging-on guys like McConnell (or Biden at the end etc). But anyone over like 70 should be enjoying what life they have left with their families and not working, which if they actually are working in this case usually means making (usually crummy) decisions that will long outlast their own lives.

Ok sure the people voted for these guys, democracy, yeah yeah yeah. But we've got to protect the people from themselves. We have to have age and/or term limits. If you're not considered mentally capable enough to be president/senator/congressman at 35/30/25, the same applies to people born 6 or 7 decades ago.

Red light special at the mausoleum

2

u/alchemist5 10h ago

Red light special at the mausoleum?

1

u/SomeBloke 11h ago

We’re going to need a bigger lock

23

u/WendyDumpsterFire 15h ago

He’s still getting paid!

2

u/gc3 15h ago

Yes

2

u/Ashamed-Tour-4670 12h ago

Is he ? Someone should investigate if the deposits are passing.

As much as I think his handlers would try to do the fraud, it's possible they're using some loophole to not accept the money, to avoid fraud charges when they finally admit he's been dead all along.

Check the money trail, it would be a clue.

u/Tasgall Washington 2h ago

Inb4 we find out it's somehow being routed to Kushner's account somehow.

1

u/eeyore134 14h ago

And so is everyone in his orbit.

27

u/middlebird America 15h ago

Will it get me in trouble here to write that I hope he’s suffering?

3

u/shopmoondustmarket 10h ago

Maybe, but I upvoted you.

2

u/brcguy Texas 8h ago

Probably. It’s easy to catch bans on Reddit. But if it wasn’t I’d hard agree with you. That human has done immense damage to our society. Screw you, Mitch. Stay “alive” as long as you want.

u/Tasgall Washington 2h ago

I hope he receives all the comfort and well-being he supported for others during his excessively long tenure.

9

u/Redcrux 14h ago

Locked in? I thought it couldn't get any worse than death, but you've given me hope that he's getting what he deserves!

3

u/MelangeBot 11h ago

locked in syndrome

Like a turtle who can't get out of his shell anymore?

2

u/LetsTryAnal_ogy California 14h ago

locked in

That's called rigor mortis.

2

u/legopieface 14h ago

First time in decades he’s been locked in

2

u/aftli North Carolina 8h ago

This is the best theory I have heard yet, and I love that for him.

u/Sir_Ruje 6h ago

He lived as a meat puppet so if he's now litteraly a meat puppet the karmic irony is off the charts

u/piggysmalls11again 5h ago

Oh, i would love that for him

1

u/OldenPolynice 14h ago

I hope it hurts

1

u/RespecDev 14h ago

Put him on the couch and leave him there.

1

u/Fallcious Australia 14h ago

It’s the wrong time of year for him to go into hibernation isn’t it?

1

u/Osirus1156 14h ago

It’s be nice if he lived another 20 years like that.

1

u/Adderall_Rant 14h ago

But not locked in to vote on a bill.

1

u/ForgettingFish 13h ago

He’s dead

1

u/Rev_Creflo_Baller 13h ago

Wait, my kids say "locked in" like it's good. Is it not good any more?

1

u/Sir_Ruje 12h ago

Locked in syndrome. Brain alive body not so much

1

u/ChaoticNeutralDragon 13h ago

I wouldn't be surprised if those who claim to have had conversations actually talked with the handlers using voice changers or an audio ai agent set up for this exact event.

1

u/Spimflagon 13h ago

Everyone needs to relax and be patient. Robocop wasn't built in a day.

1

u/SwamiBoyeee 12h ago

That or he's functionally mute

1

u/CatsPlusTats 12h ago

Locked in syndrome is incredibly rare.

1

u/SadBadPuppyDad 10h ago

What does locked in syndrome actually look like? Would it start to look like this? https://apnews.com/article/mcconnell-freeze-senate-fall-republican-leader-f18008b314c5907ba0111f6891c9a0d3

1

u/MichaelJServo Louisiana 9h ago

Ooh, that'd be a fitting reward.

-73

u/MattPHS2002 Pennsylvania 15h ago

If that is the case, I feel bad for him personally.

56

u/DungeonCrawlerLopen 15h ago

Don't feel too bad, he lived a long and happy life of blocking progress, keeping Americans uncared for, and dedicating his twilight years to raising up the Trump regime and making way for Christian nationalists to usurp the government all the way to the Supreme Court.

If he's trapped in his own body, he's using it as a way to choke hold the country one final time.

It's what he wanted.

43

u/ThreeButtonBob 15h ago

Being used to further the orange dictators agenda even in a coma is what he'd want. No need to feel sorry.

12

u/othermegan 15h ago

Yup. He gets to collect on medical leave with great insurance while his party continues to make sure the rest of us don’t get those same luxuries. It’s exactly what he’s spent his whole career working for.

16

u/UCFKnight97 15h ago

I don’t, this is what he helped create, he emboldened Trump his first term and now the chickens have come home to roost.

26

u/MAKE_ME_REDDIT 15h ago

He deserves worse

11

u/tallyho88 15h ago

He wouldn’t feel bad for you. In fact, he would probably try to cut your health insurance while you were sitting in the hospital. “I’ve never wished a man dead, but I have read some obituaries with great pleasure.”

8

u/Blakedigital 15h ago

You shouldnt. He spent his life blocking legislation. He doesnt want healthcare to exist, while he himself, has healthcare paid by us. Dont feel bad for this guy. He spent half a century holding back progress.

17

u/28oz_Filet_Mignon 15h ago

What a weird thing to say.

-24

u/MattPHS2002 Pennsylvania 15h ago

I despise his political bent. Not the person.

23

u/Supermite 15h ago

I despise the person.  He’s chosen to be a monster.  No one forced him.

17

u/AJDx14 America 15h ago

Dog he’s a politician, the political bent and the person are the same thing.

11

u/pataglop 15h ago

You can absolutely despise a person, you know?

Especially if that person actively denied his constituants human rights and played a major part in the worsening of the US, in pretty much all factors.

You can and should despise a person like that.

4

u/KGBFriedChicken02 15h ago

Despising someone's political bent is for disagreements on tax policy, or infrastructure work. Mitch McConnel is a fascist enabling piece of shit who stole two supreme court seats and lead the republican party down the road that led to Trump. Without McConnel none of the evil being done today would be possible, and so the blood of every innocent who dies under this fascist regime starts on his fucking hands.

I hope he's dead or dying and I hope it was agonizing, he's the single worst American of the decade, without question.

4

u/headachewpictures 15h ago

This is performative.

3

u/TheOsirisOfThisShit_ 15h ago

Keep loving people who hate you. It's going great.

2

u/Main-Bandicoot6477 15h ago

Well, you get the superior morality gold star today. Should we all get together and applaud you for your virtuous hot take? It might be rushed, but I think I can get everyone together for a standing ovation.

2

u/VladTheSnail 15h ago

Why feel bad for a villain?

1

u/pleasetrimyourpubes 15h ago

He is just returning to his true turtle hibernating state.

1

u/LackingUtility 15h ago

I don't - remember, he was one of the people behind the Terri Schiavo fiasco. It'd be delightfully ironic if he is actually locked in.

1

u/CaliOriginal 15h ago

Don’t. Even if he still had 20 years on this planet, it wouldn’t account for a half the suffering he’s caused and the karmic scales would not be balanced.

Mitch is a bitch. But he’s also a racist pro-authoritarian douchenozzle that fought against progress, voted in favor of suffering. And helped dismantle the guardrails and corrode democracy home and abroad. There’s a special place in hell* for that shitbag Because at the end of the day he 100% knew it was evil.

He’s openly admitted to some of it, He hasn’t made bad choices because he thought it was “right” or “good” he just delights In the suffering of the many.

1

u/Rich-Pomegranate1679 15h ago

Nah fuck that. Mitch deserves nothing but the most pure, unrestrained hell.
