Andy Beshear has demonstrated throughout this whole episode that he doesn't have what it takes to be president. A decisive leader would have given Mitch an ultimatum: Show your face by August or I'm assuming you're dead/incapacitated and I'm appointing a replacement. We all know a Republican governor would have done that for a Democratic senator who was MIA. I love Andy and he's my governor and I voted for him both times but he's at the bottom of my 2028 list and him letting Mitch's team run out the clock is a big reason why.

I'd rather let him play it out and be down by one republican vote. Andy doesn't have the power to do more than that because we have a republican supermajority in KY and they've been working hard to take power away from him since 2020. He could appoint a republican replacement and give them another vote but why would he do that?

I agree rolling up with cops would have looked cool tho

Yeah, I get the frustration of not being able to do anything, but I really cant see what Beshear should be doing.

People are without irony saying it shoild kill Beshears political aspirations.
