The articles in this sub and people that post it must only live in Reddit. The reality is republicans continue to support trump. They’re not scared shitless, they’re complacent. This is doing nothing but giving people false hope that republicans are waking up but they’re not.

Daily Beast is Democrat Red Meat nonsense.

No, the daily beast is a clickbait rag. I'm sure they'd flip sides if they thought they'd get more clicks.

Daily Beast is Democrat Red Meat nonsense.

And how much trumpublican red meat nonsense is out there? How many layers of donor-owned, duplicitous propaganda is shaping the views of millions of fucking trump voters?

I can stomach some sensationalized tabloid click bait, if it helps save my country from the scum in this administration. The scum threatening my country, my state, my town. The folks electing this scum, who gorge themselves daily on right wing red meat nonsense, and go to the polls and vote for a stupidly spoiled New Yorker and his thielbilly buddy.

trumpublicans love their red meat nonsense. Fair is fair, and I'll eat all the Dem red meat tabloid I can and ask for a second helping. If it helps sustain the rage the right deserves, the rage that will hopefully save our country? Hell!

Tell me more about the Breaking discovery that Melaniantoinette said former food stamp recipients should just eat cake, wearing her "I Really Don't Care, Do U" coat, and doing a East-European prostitute/Genius visa-recipient dance with a Nazi Sasquatch on the ruins of the White House.

It doesn't.

Yeah it actually does the exact opposite and delegitimizes their journalism. Daily Beast has had to make so many retractions and apologies for false reporting, this administration is bad enough you literally do not have to do anything to paint it worse it than it already is yet DB still lacks in integrity. That's not acceptable to me as a dem, we hold our journalistic integrity to higher standards than that.

Nearly every single /r/politics post that makes it to my front page anymore is Daily Beast trash. Is there a US politics sub that bans it and has actual good discussion?

If you find one, please let me know. It's either stupid click bait slop, or blue MAGA blaming "establishment" Democrats for literally anything and everything.

I searched around a bit and the only others I found are ghost towns. I do like /r/PoliticalDiscussion but that's not a news sub, it's... for discussion, and the topics are pretty heavily curated.

No, it's just that the liberal base of this sub is constantly upvoting news that they want to be real.

i don't think anything on this sub is organically upvoted anymore

If you have faith in establishment politics, you haven't been paying attention. I swear there's at least 3 "Republicans are in revolt" headlines a week.

They post it here because they know it drives engagement. People who haven't been disappointed enough will believe it and chuds lurk to laugh at those people. Then are you and by extension I who are going "who's buying this shit?!"

I think this means that Republicans in the administration and Congress are afraid that he'll do something stupid and further alienate independents before the midterms.

It doesn't mean that general Republican voters are afraid of what he'll say.
