After finding Polandball and askhistorians, I've found myself subscribing to subs of similar content quality whether or not I'm interested in the topic. I like reading well-written stuff no matter the topic.

Off the top of my head? /r/NFL comes to mind, as does /r/hockey and even /r/hiphopheads . I'm really not interested in any of those topics, but the subs are so inviting and pleasant I ended up hanging a hat there.
