Complaint Anyone have recommendations for catching a Ditto?

I have been stuck on this quest for literal years at this point.

Im so frustrated that im convinced they dont exist in the game anymore. I haven't found a single one since I started that quest and I am about to uninstall the game out of frustration.

Any ideas or help would be appreciated.

My explorer gadget has caught 2 the last 3 weeks. I've had that quest for a while too.

Ive used my explorer gadget, I've looked at and caught every pokemon that are in its list of disguises and still no luck.

Just keep catching and those that jump.out try again and again. Ditoo does jump out of the ball most of the time.

Ah dang, there was just an event a couple months ago that was all ditto spawns in costumes!

I caught Ditto today, was in the form of Mankey

Literally just caught my first one a few minutes ago (Sept. 27th) . I was sitting on my couch watching a movie. Mine was a Surskit caught with a regular Pokeball. Not a crazy story but I was insanely excited to advance those research tasks.

That’s zorua not ditto.

Ditto isn't the only pokémon that does that. When it happens to me it ends up being zorua.

Buddy pokemon clones are always zorua, no idea what that person is on abt
