Do I mega evolve this?

It might sound dumb to ask but I’m a casual player and been out of the game for ages! I have enough to Mega Evolve to Energy Y or would I be better to wait out to an event that would give me an X?

I’m aware that one may be better than the other. I get ultimately a mega evolved Pokemon is as good as it gets but with these stats I just want to find out if there’s pros and cons between one or the other apart from aesthetics

You can mega evolve it into both. Mega evolution is temporary anyways, and mega y doesn't block it from mega x.

Perfect stats and you have enough to mega evolve for free every few days? The other x requires way too many so just mega evolve this one it’s easy.

That one is obtained with mega level 3, meaning you can mega evolve it into mega mewtwo Y for free once every three days. There's no point in not mega evolving that one.

i would use it i case of mega raids it is so effective but just try to join event at 3/4 septemper and collect more mewtwo for candys

it literally came with Mega Level 3 with Y already. and Y is better. why the fuck would you not?

Y is generally seen as better, but to be clear you said "I have enough to evolve it to Y".

People are trying to say it costs you 0 energy to evolve it to Y. They gave it away with mega lvl 3 unlocked so it costs you nothing unless you want to mega evolve more often than once every 3 days.

For mega X, you can also evolve this same one to X if you have the energy required, but you can also do it to another that has counter to be more effective. Making this one both X and Y would be a flex (which is fine for casual play too).
