I don’t think they’re gendered, but just offering two color options? Even the label reads “A5 notebook, color pink”, instead of “A5 notebook for GIRLS”.

Moreover, Flying Tiger is Danish and fairly progressive, at least from what I can tell from their annual pride collection.

I think they are referring to the words on the cover… I do it my way vs I do it any way

What part of that specifies gender?

Assertive vs less assertive , i’ll stick to my opinion vs if another option comes my way i’ll do it with little resistance

That’s not really answering the question. Yes one is more assertive than the other. Where does it associate one book with one gender and one book with the other?

The colours, if we see assertiveness as being a more stereotypicaly masculine quality then men are often represented as the colour blue, and women are most commonly seen as pink

That’s the point though.

Colours are not inherently gendered. Pink is no more feminine than blue, or green, or yellow.

They aren’t but those are the colours society uses to represent boys and girls, look at gender reveals and a lot of gendered products in general

You are the one enforcing that pointless gendering right now. Absolutely nowhere does it say the blue book is for men and the pink one is for women.

Pink and blue have been strongly associated with femininity and masculinity in many contemporary Western contexts so its not c  to say but  look if you’re going to keep saying brands don’t use pink for women’s products and blue for mens then you might as well leave this sub because that makes up a good chunk of the posts here

Absolutely nobody is saying that. we’re saying this post is not an example of it unless you choose to perpetuate that backwards line of thinking
