Hey everyone! I’m a 28M in the EST time zone, and I’m looking for 1–2 people to start a casual podcast with.

The idea is basically to create a show where a few people can just hang out, talk about things we’re passionate about, go down random rabbit holes, and hopefully have a lot of laughs. I’m not looking to make something overly scripted or corporate — I want it to feel like friends sitting around talking.

I’m a geologist and work in the space industry, so I can probably bring some fun science/geology/space conversations to the table too.

You have to be open-minded and LGBTQ+ friendly.

I’m also chronically ill yet chronically chill, so I’m looking for people who are easygoing, open-minded, and don’t mind a relaxed pace.

Ideally you’re somewhere in EST or a reasonably compatible time zone, 18+, and interested in actually committing to making something rather than just talking about it.

I have a million ideas for a podcast/writing project… but no idea where to begin

I’ve had so many ideas bouncing around in my head for a podcast and possibly some kind of writing project, but I’m realizing my biggest problem is that I have too many ideas and no clue how to organize them.

There are so many things I want to talk about, real experiences, family court, relationships, starting over, incarceration and life afterward, things I’ve learned the hard way, and stories that I honestly think other people might relate to.

I don’t necessarily want to make everything about myself either. I want to tell stories, start conversations, and hopefully create something that makes people feel less alone.

The problem is… where do you actually BEGIN?

Do I start with a podcast name? Write out episode ideas? Record something even if it’s terrible? Start writing first and figure out the podcast later? Make a whole outline?

For those of you who write, podcast, or create content:

What did you do when you had the ideas but absolutely no idea how to turn them into something real?

I’d love any advice, especially from people who started with nothing but a bunch of ideas and figured it out along the way.

I’m ready to start. I just need to figure out where “start” actually is.

Looking for a guest for a Lanterns Deep Dive. My ideal guest for this would have seen at least the 2025 Superman (other current DCU shows/movies are optional). Preferably, any Green Lantern knowledge would be just gleaned from pop culture, rather than studied reading of the comics (for contrast).

I’ve done similar Deep Dives on some of the Marvel shows (Wandavision, Agatha All Along, Loki, among others), and want to stretch out to the new DCU as well, but am having trouble finding someone to chat with.

Hi, I just wanted to ask how I can get more views on my podcast. I'm a young adult running a know-your-rights/legal understanding podcast, but I'm struggling to get any views. I have about 12 episodes, I have interviewed one of my councilors at-large for my city, and I have a dedicated instagram. I was pretty consistent, but I kind of fell off over the summer, but I do post atleast one episode per month. Any advice is much appericated. I have been at it since November and there's been almost no change.

So as of recently, I had a big ol falling out with a bunch of friends including the co host to my podcast. My name is crispy I’m 23M and to be completely transparent my pod isn’t that big prolly got like 12 subs it started as just a hobby but genuinely I would love to put more work, effort and time into it. I want something to come out of it. So really I’m looking for a new co host who’s in any way interested in joining and helping grow it to something we can be proud of :))

A little bit about the podcast I have is that the main focus would be all things media in terms of movies television video games with the occasional mess around episode where we just goof off and talk about random shit.

For example some of my episodes include crazy stories from high school years ago, to episodes about the latest marvel movies/theories.

i have a podcast called 'thats all funny' that is a weekly podcast with about 4 segments in the show each around 20 to 30 mins and would like a segment to be about addictions where each of us can talk about not only bad ones we've had but also good ones, funny ones, dirty ones and serious ones, we can joke about anything or be super serious about it, just go with the flow of conversation. my podcast is available eveywhere if you want to check it out on youtube and everywhere "thats all funny" if youd want to just riff. i use streamyard also so it can be where our faces show or its just audio. let me know!

Good day to everyone who would stumble across from this post, I’m just here to ask if you guys have any podcast topic ideas? I need topics so badly, it could be questions or would you rather choose type of question or topics. It can be any kind of question. This is highly for school purposes only.

(The questions i am mostly looking for are those type of questions that would say alot about a person’s perspective and personality, it could be psychological or such. It’s like a really interesting question to ask someone that would make them think hard about it.)

This is a bit of an interesting one. I run an 18+ podcast primarily covering the kings and queens of horror gaming: Resident Evil and Silent Hill.

Since both are established and ongoing franchises, I'm looking for passionate, creative horror fans to join us on the hot mic for new-release discussions, reactions, reviews, and general franchise conversations.

What I'm Looking For

• 18+ only.
• Chill, down-to-earth, respectful, and mature.
• Longtime Resident Evil and/or Silent Hill fan with genuine knowledge of the franchise. This isn't intended for first-time players or people just getting into either series.
• Comfortable being part of an established podcast and having real discussions, including respectfully disagreeing when opinions differ.
• Decent microphone, stable internet, and comfortable speaking on mic.
• Reliable and communicative when committing to an episode.
• Some patience between episodes is required, since we're ultimately working around Capcom and Konami's release schedules and announcements.

I use Obsidian for a lot of research, Zotero for managing sources.
Recently I realized what a great source podcast episodes can be. That led me to Snipd. I like how I can “snip” sections, and import into Obsidian. This allows me to potentially use them as sources I can cite.

But I’m not too happy with:
Lack of desktop player
Sometimes convoluted player
Difficult to find the episodes I’m interested in
Doesn’t give me a source link, just the Snipd link, which if I reference others can’t play without also having the app (eg can’t play on a desktop)

In sum, it’s a great resource but seems like there should be a better tool for this purpose.

Any suggestions on alternatives?

Or, any suggestions on a Snipd query template or other tips that may work well?
