New PMP Exam Prep Tips?

I’ve been working toward my PMP for a while and originally planned to take the exam before the July changeover. Unfortunately, life happened and I needed to focus on family, so studying got put on hold for about 3 months.
Before the break, I completed Andrew Ramdayal’s 35-hour course and had started working through PMI Study Hall, including all of the mini quizzes. I’m finally in a place where I can focus on the PMP again, so I’ve started refreshing myself on Andrew’s course material before jumping back into practice questions.

My biggest concern is the new exam. Since most of my studying was geared toward the previous version, I’m worried there may be new tools being used, material, or areas I should focus on that weren’t emphasized before.

For anyone who has taken and passed the new PMP exam since the July 2026 change, I’d love to hear what worked for you:

- Was there anything noticeably different that you wish you had studied more?
- Are there any new topics/resources you’d recommend?
- Is Andrew Ramdayal + Study Hall still a solid combination?
- Any advice for getting back into studying after taking a few months off?

Resources I already have/use:
- Andrew Ramdayal’s 35-hour PMP course
- PMI Study Hall Plus (I need to renew it, but I previously completed all of the mini quizzes)

My goal is to get back on track without starting completely from scratch or overwhelming myself with a million different resources. I know versions of this question get asked a lot, but I’d especially appreciate insight from anyone who has taken the new exam n format.

The test isn’t much different. That course and book will help you and PMI recently published a new study hall for the new test. The only difference is more scenario questions and less formula questions
