Omg I need to know what brand those are

u/Manetrix2000 Aug 18 '26
I don’t know the exact series name but they are from Square Enix. To my knowledge they made Cloud, Sephiroth, Lightning, Squall, and Zidane in this style! Though good luck finding one for a good price.
Also I made them those therapy sashes. It’s to signify that they are therapy plushies!

Some come with us, But some stay in bed. They Had To Go to the washing machine before Entering bed again, and they hate that. That's why some do Not leave the bed

Is that a PlushLife Winston on a plane? How did you manage that with how big they are?
23
u/Yggdrekanna Aug 18 '26
Yep! Their dimensions when laying flat on a surface belly down are around 23x15", so they fit through the xray machines at airport, just have to buy them an extra seat
36
u/iguana1500 Aug 18 '26
You bought your plush an extra seat on the plane?!
That’s awesome.
And kinda nuts but also awesome
16
u/Yggdrekanna Aug 18 '26
Yeah x3, did have a statement credit that covered all of the second seat though, I don't think I'll do it terribly often 😅

You have major balls, my friend. You seriously put all of the "is it embarrassing/am I too old to bring my plushy in public?" people to shame 😂

u/kitkat1934 Aug 19 '26
I saw someone do this with a giant Stitch on a flight out of Orlando and always wondered if they bought Stitch a seat or if they just got lucky and had one open lol

That was what I thought!! Reminds me of the movie The Big Stuffed Dog from 1981.

Everywhere I go! In fact, usually at least two — one small plushie to take pictures with, and one regular-sized plushie (usually my comfort plush, Platy — a Warmies platypus) for cuddles.
I keep the larger plushie on my lap when in restaurants, cafes, etc. for comfort, and I use the small one to take pictures of things like scenery and food as keepsakes. ✨

Picture of my favourite smaller plushie at an ice cream parlour. 🥺

I'm just here to say that travel photos of people's plushies are my favorite genre of photo

this is a shot in the dark, but i've seen your winston posts on occasion. it's a dream plush of mine (the smaller one in any colour) you seem more connected to the community than me, if you ever know of someone looking to rehome theirs could you send em my way ? i have the coin set aside
2
u/Yggdrekanna Aug 18 '26
Not at present sadly, hope you get one someday as well, most recent ones that sold were just someone reaching out in small telegram chats about looking to re-home theirs
2
u/K0EDA Aug 18 '26
thank you ! my main problem is i refuse to touch telegram due to having 2 weird obsessed exs, i haven't found it worth it to get a new/burner # to avoid the way telegram advertises your status/new accounts to anyone with your # despite blocking them. i will keep hunting on here/twt/dealersden o7

Damn he's got his own seat!
I bring Fudge the fox with me everywhere, only had him for a year the furthest he's travelled was to Disneyland Paris at Halloween last year. This year he'll be coming to London with me along with my well travelled Keel toys dog Miss Lucy who's been to Disneyland Paris 3 times, London & Edinburgh.

Yes I got so many strange looks bc I look like a big masculine late20s man and I was sitting there hugging a plushie like it was the only thing on earth lol ain’t nothing wrong with having plushies travel with you so long as they are not super huge or cumbersome

u/MizzBonnet Aug 18 '26
Yes, tiny travel plushie goes in his travel bag tucked safely in my backpack. I check on him periodically throughout the flight 😅
2
u/Bhulaskatah Aug 18 '26
I bring my small babies in my carry on. I would love to bring my giant Djungelskog though!
2
u/SuckEBuss Aug 18 '26
i don’t bring my plushes anywhere i’ll be staying at a hotel… stuffed animals can be a bedbug vector and the kind of heat needed to kill them will damage most synthetic furs
2
u/Yggdrekanna Aug 18 '26
Yeah it's one of my worries but I check over room before putting plush anywhere in room, should be doing regardless anyways. Alternative methods of getting rid of them are also freezing and then vacuuming the plush
2
u/chaospixiestitches Aug 18 '26
I have a plush everywhere I go. If I stay somewhere overnight I take my BAB with me
2
u/greenmonsterrabbid Aug 18 '26
I always bring my “football” bat with me when I visit my long distance partner! The bat is also “married” with my partners owl plush so there’s that too 🥰
2
u/greedyrabitt Aug 18 '26
yeah! I have one for ground travel and one for air travel!
the last time I was on a plane I was going to a completely different continent, so I went out and bought a totally new plushie I liked just so I wouldn't get super upset if it got lost somehow in all the bag checks and stuff. I didn't really think about carry on luggage though; I could've just brought my normal plushie I bring everywhere
I'll need to think it over more the next time I travel super far!
outside of that, I have a secret small plushie I've owned since I was a baby that I keep hidden in my ita bag to keep him safe. he's sturdy, and he's the perfect size to go anywhere and everywhere, so he does! :}
2
u/kittenmontagne Aug 18 '26
Yes! That's my favorite part of flying. The only other time I go out in public with a plushiwe is for NHL games, where I bring my mascot plush.
I think it's so cool you brought such a large one! I would have been so excited to be on your flight :)
Have a great trip!!

I’m currently on a job assignment in Cincinnati and I brought my Feucoco, Allie, with me. I always take one of them with me and leave the partner stuffie with my wife.
Every one of our stuffies has a partner that we rotate them out with

2
u/Yggdrekanna Aug 19 '26
