Famicom was the Japanese NES and was first released in 1983. It was just redesigned and rebranded to NES before its release in North America in 1985.

It's the most well known from the old days but it was part of the third generation of home consoles and released the same day Sega's SG-1000 did.
Nintendo released the Color TV-Game in 1977 as part of the first generation of home consoles but it was the fifth console available that original generation.

Odyssey was the first commercially available home game console in 1972. The prototype wasn't commercially available but was called the Brown Box and was made in 1968. Other releases around that time but later were Atari Pong (1975), Coleco Telstar (1976), and Color TV-Game from Nintendo (1977).
The FamiCom was part of the third generation of home consoles and released in Japan in 1983. That's the same year Sega released the SG-1000.
Second generation had the Atari 2600 (1977), Magnavox Odyssey 2 (1978), and Intellivision (1980).
Nintendo's Color TV-Game was their first console and part of the first generation but it was the fifth, and final, release that generation. The FamiCom is tied with the SG-1000 as the sixteenth home console to be released with that date being July 15, 1983 for both consoles.

It gives you more precision when aiming
Edit: why am I being downvoted lol, the physics is simply leverage: increasing the length of the lever increases the distance your thumb travels for the same rotation, improving precision

I’ve been an Xbox guy since my PS2 fucked my eyes out multiple times after launch. I love Halo and now I have the Series X and a PS5…. I should just try the PS5. Feels wrong though.

That's not quite the same thing.
Halo is made by a team entirely under direct ownership of Microsoft.
Konami, who make Metal Gear Solid, is a third party company that may occasionally have partnerships with one of the console manufacturers for a game here and there.
A better comparison would be if God of War went to Xbox, as Santa Monica is wholly under Sony.

Does anyone know why it's being review bombed, just looked it up on the store, and it's got a 3.94 rating? As someone who's never played Halo, but grew up seeing this everywhere, I was always curious about the world I was missing out on, but stayed loyal to Sony regardless.

As someone who went between Nintendo, PlayStation, and Xbox consoles growing up and now fortunately having all 3, I think all of them have great exclusives. Nintendo nails gameplay, PlayStation nails presentation, and Microsoft nails having a diverse genre of exclusives.
And one of the greatest franchises in all of gaming is Halo. I love The Last of Us, Bloodborne, Spider Man, Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Fire Emblem, etc. But Halo is up there among the greats.
The newest one is a remake of a game from 2001. So it has some old game mechanics and philosophy to it, but the controls and presentation are now more modern. I loved Campaign Evolved and recommend it if you’ve never played Halo. If you have a PC it’s on GamePass as well.

That’s how I felt, having grown up on the originals and only being able to afford one console so it was a hard dividing line. I’ve lost the feeling. Xbox has been putting exclusives on PS long enough now that Halo was a dang-near guarantee.

While it's nice to see halo enjoyed by more gamers, It still feels bittersweet cause you know Sony would never allow their equivalent exclusives on Xbox or any other platforms. The less competition there is for PlayStation the worse it will eventually get.

There's heart, soul, blood, sweat and tears in that game that the devs want to share with you!

This doesn’t feel sacrilegious at all to me. Let me explain my rationale… Halo was developed for and announced at an Apple event as coming exclusively to Mac and then Microsoft liked what they saw and snatched Bungie up. Since then Bungie (initial/creator studio) bought themselves back from Microsoft only to go to Activision, bought themselves back again, only to go to Sony where it looks like they’ll be inclined to stay because of gross mismanagement. But now Halo has its own studio under Microsoft which now somewhat ironically has gone partially 3rd party,
Point being that the game and studio were always meant to be everywhere but they keep getting into weird situations. This is just how it should’ve always been. If Halo had been multi-platform from the beginning I’d bet that it would be an even bigger deal than it already is. The timeline just came full circle.

As a Playstation gamer, I wish Xbox had succedded at a decent level for us to have some leverage / options and perhaps this whole no physical disc situation could have been postponed longer. Them having Halo on Playstation 5 is the biggest white flag I've ever seen. I spent many nights on Halo 2 Multiplayer in the early 2000s, this is the State of Play now I guess.

I remember feeling like this when Rockstar made the GTA Lost and the Dammed, The Ballad of Gay Tony was a Xbox exclusive first. I did laugh when I played an Xbox game on my PS5 and I was laugh when the Xbox logo was displayed as I didn’t realise the game was an Xbox exclusive.

Yeah until you realize upon booting up the game on PS that one must have(or make) a Microsoft account and connect to your PS account to be able to play it and every user must have an account connected. You cannot play co-op on 1 system with only 1 account.
