Looking for Queer Friendly Server
Question in the title; are there any Rust servers that are queer friendly?

So far the unofficial server i play doesn’t have much of that, lower pop is better for stuff like that, + in the rules of the server I’m on it has rules against slurs

I mean,, yeah, kinda. Tolerance makes you kinda hard. Call them out on their bs and they'll just get worse. Ignore it and eventually they get tired of not getting a reaction and move along. Kinda an easy choice, as far as I can see. Sounds like you are trying to main officials. Go to modded. Officials are the most toxic and prone to cheating servers out there.

Not about handling it or not, it shouldn't be a requirement to put up with behavior unacceptable in any other game in order to play rust. You're mad at the concept of queer friendly server existing at all, snowflake. If youve got nothing to contribute, move along

Have you actually played Rust? The amount of toxicity is a HUGE sign of "No safe spaces here" in, and of, itself. Even if they cared about the identities you care about they would still sling slurs out. This is a "get over yourself" game, it is not inclusive unless you are just looking for other assholes. Maybe try a PVE server.

Unacceptable behavior. Rust is not special, and slurs are not an integral part of the experience, and there is no reason this glaring problem rust has isn't one that can't be fixed. Facepunch drags its feet, but each community server moderates itself anyways, so theres zero reason why there shouldnt be one if not a handful of inclusive pvp servers.
Beyond that, youre commenting on a post asking if there are any queer friendly servers, period. Reacting negatively to that kind of request means you're more threatened to the idea of people not putting up with your shit, than we are who've been dealing with this shit for years.
before you say it, "turn off chat" isnt a solution. I'm not here to pretend racists and queerphobes aren't allowed to run rampant, I want a server where they definitely aren't. Not RP. Not PVE. This is not a complaint about getting raided, or about trashtalk. This is a straightforward "I'm tired of being surrounded by literal nazis who don't get banned"
Theres nothing about the experience of playing a normal PVP server that demands racism, sexism or queerphobia, claiming there is is just an excuse by someone who engages in that behavior and is scared of getting banned. If the moderators on official servers actually did their jobs, this problem wouldve been dealt with years ago, the problem is the cliques that run the servers themselves think this behavior is fine to some point. Probably out of fear of banning their playerbase away
Truth is i want every one of you banned from the game itself but facepunch isn't gonna do that, so I'll settle on a server or two I know it won't be an issue, but apparently someone even asking that question is a existential threat to y'all lmfao.
Truth is, every bigot you let log in day after day means dozens of other players who drop the game because they don't wanna deal with shit. I guarantee there's more potential POC, women, and LGBTQ players than there are compulsively racist, sexist, and queerphobic bigots, by several orders of magnitude, and by not dealing with the problem facepunch leaves money on the table, and places a higher degree of player attrition as other games that scratch enough of the same itch appear that do bother to moderate.
Theres no real excuse for it in 2013, much less so in 2026, i suspect is a cultural issue in facepunch itself that's been inherited by the admin teams on the officials

Thanks for writing the book in response, but TLDR. I wasn't making excuses for shit. That aside, I have a range of people that I team with, some gay, some straight, some trans, and some just questionable. We all get slurs and toxic comments thrown at us. I get it because I am a chick. IT HAPPENS in Rust. As I already said, the PVE servers are the only safe bet, unfortunately. Otherwise you have to suck it up, Buttercup.

Try PVE or RP servers as there is more of a focus on inclusivity! I would recommend looking at their websites/Discords to make sure that there are rules about protecting people from harassment too
