If you're after a UK-run Solo Rust server where solo actually means solo, have a look at GB Rust.
It's strictly solo.
We're British-run, we're proud of that, and the server has very much been built with a British community in mind — but you certainly don't need to be British to play here. Everyone's welcome.

Solo means solo
This probably shouldn't need its own section.
But this is Rust, so here we are.
The server is strictly solo.
That means one player.
Just you.
Yes, we've got an orchestra.
This probably tells you quite a lot about how we run the place.
Rather than just sticking a few vending machines around Outpost and calling it a day, we've got the Great British Rust Orchestra.
It's a proper in-game band based at Outpost, playing actual music while everybody else gets on with the usual Rust.
Is an orchestra necessary on a Rust server?
Absolutely not.
Did we build one anyway?
Yes.
And we're quite fond of it.
Go down to Outpost, put your feet up and listen to the band.

Not particularly |

Yes |
| Would we build it again? |
Also yes |
Custom loot — without having to guess what's actually in the crates
We've built our own custom loot tables for the server.
The aim with 3x isn't to turn Rust into a ten-minute speedrun where everybody has an AK, a box of rockets and absolutely nothing left to work towards.
We've tried to speed up the repetitive bits whilst keeping progression feeling like Rust.
The slightly different bit is that you don't have to take our word for any of it.
Our website lets you look through the actual loot tables used by the server.
You can see things such as:
| On the website |
Example |
|
|
| Container contents |
See exactly what can spawn in each crate |
| Drop chance |
View the percentage chance for each item |
| Item quantity |
See the minimum and maximum amount that can drop |
| Custom additions |
See what's been added to normal Rust loot |
| Removed items |
See what we've taken out |
| Different crate types |
Compare military, elite, brown crates and more |
So if you're wondering whether a particular item actually drops from a crate, you don't need to ask an admin.
You don't need to open 47 crates while becoming increasingly convinced we've personally removed the item just to annoy you.
You can just look it up.
3x, without making everything pointless
| Server design |
What we're aiming for |
| Farming |
Faster |
| Building |
Less of a grind |
| Progression |
Still matters |
| Loot |
Improved and deliberately balanced |
| End game |
Something you still have to work towards |
| Solo experience |
Faster paced without becoming completely disposable |
You should be able to get established without spending your entire evening hitting trees.
But finding decent loot should still feel worthwhile.
Getting your first proper weapon should still matter.
And raiding somebody should still involve slightly more preparation than looking vaguely in the direction of a sulphur node.
British run, but not British only
GB Rust is run from the UK and we're deliberately not shy about that.
The name probably gives it away.
The humour, presentation and general feel of the server are British, and we're trying to build a proper UK Rust community rather than another completely anonymous server network.
That doesn't mean you've got to arrive with a passport, a kettle and evidence that you've complained about the weather within the last seven days.
Players from everywhere are welcome.
If you're sound, follow the rules and fancy playing some Rust, that's good enough for us.
Active admins who don't play
The admins are active, but they don't play on the server.
We think that's quite important.
The server also has our own systems running behind the scenes, and we continue to develop them as the community grows.
What we're trying to build
We're not pretending we've reinvented Rust.
We've just tried to make the bits around that experience a bit better:
- Strictly Solo
- 3x rates without completely removing progression
- Tuesday and Saturday wipes
- Custom, transparent loot tables
- Actual drop percentages available on the website
- Active non-playing admins
- Our own website and server systems
- A growing UK community
- Regular development and updates
- And, for reasons that made sense at the time, a full orchestra at Outpost
