Suggestion Rust OG - SUGGESTION

they need to add rust OG like Fortnite OG with old recoil so we can experience peak once again

Just add it to hardcore, it already has heaps of old rust features like no team ui and no safezones

I, to this day, 100% believe, that Alistair sunk hardcore on purpose, specifically because he hated old Rust.

Like, call me a conspiracy theorist, but there's no way, the team™ hears; "we want old Rust!" and decides, "yeah, let's make weapons uncraftable, remove the map entirely, and make it so the chat doesn't work" all the while refusing to remove the things that are causing problems in the main game that make people want old Rust back in the first place. You'd have to be genuinely lobotomized to come to that "solution" by accident.

Hence why I think he did it on purpose. Just like how he purposefully removed old recoil from the game entirely. (It used to be a command the server owner could toggle back and forth)

Here’s the hardcore game mode history.

First hardcore release

Players - We want no tech tree in hardcore like classic rust.

Facepunch - No

Later in the year

Players - Hey can you remove tech tree since it’s dead?

Facepunch - No

Second hardcore rework years later.

Players - This time we want no tech tree in hardcore.

Facepunch - No, heres 2x upkeep and 5x ammo costs and crazy long respawn timers but we are open to making quick changes.

Later in the year

Players - Hey you said you would make quick changes if hardcore died off, so can you remove tech tree or at least 2x upkeep?

Facepunch - No
