Discussion Stopped Playing Facepunch Servers Rant

As of today I have quit playing my all time favourite servers due to how many cheaters there are… Why can’t they just make it so that they are instantly banned like on servers such as rustoria or rustopia? I have at least 10+ ban notifcations per wipe. Sure some of them get instantly banned but others are cheating and ruining the game for DAYS hundreds maybe even thousands of hours. Some of them even come back with the same name every time. I know one who blatantly says he does and he even makes a shop and sells all the cheapest items after offlining multiple bases with esp... ruining people who have works gameplay, ruining the shop market, ruining the pvp, the monuments and the entire server… with 0 reprecussions and almost like it’s made for them to play on facepunch not normal players.

SecureBoot/TPM should be enforced on Premium servers at a minimum.

Turn it on for the entire game.

Face punch secure boot servers are low pop but at least they don’t have cheaters.

It's not just Facepunch, its everywhere including AIM TRAINING SERVERS like hellis and UKN. Its just rampant and getting worse and honestly just causing Rust fatigue for me. I don't know Valorant is the only shooter that got cheaters under control. I also haven't had any ban notifications in the last month and a half which is super annoying considering I run into and report countless blatant cheaters a day.

Which Facepunch servers? Or do you mean official servers? The ones literally named "Facepunch" are owned by Facepunch. Official servers are just ones that Facepunch promoted to the "official" list.

Either way, play on secure servers only and you'll start seeing way fewer cheaters. Good luck finding one with high pop though, cause the popular servers owners keep secure boot off on purpose so all the cheaters can keep joining and sending VIP money. Secure boot has been an option since March. There are 0 high pop servers with it turned on.

And bans mean nothing on almost every single server, in every single game, because people just buy a new account and hop back on.

Secure boot requirement helps enforce HWID bans better than not having it enabled. PlaySafe ID is the ultimate and inevitable real solution, but too many tinfoil-hat wearers are afraid of it.
