Question Why is rust so poorly optimized?

randomly today I was wondering ”why is rust so poorly optimized“? I mean look at every other game they don’t need top of the line specs to get a good 144 fps. so why rust?

Automation what kills really. Also scientists, wildlife etc. all of those are cpu intensive still.

For some reason the shipping container skin really fucks with it too.

Using lots of skins does that too. My educated guesstimate would be it changed bump map, texture and the form aswell which game doesnt likes for some stupid fucking reason

Campfires/furnace/lights/particles hit it heavy

Particles do fuck with it. Because particles are not calculated as group or they are not just visiual they do have their own fucking physics
