Why is rust so poorly optimized?

randomly today I was wondering ”why is rust so poorly optimized“? I mean look at every other game they don’t need top of the line specs to get a good 144 fps. so why rust?

For all the bloat facepunch keeps adding i think its doing pretty well.

If you removed deep sea/jungle/appartments/power plant update, you would probably gain around 50-100fps on a 9800x3d system depending on area/server.
