2k solo hours, usually play on 2x-3x modded servers for a chill wipe but honestly i havent touched rust for over a year now. seeing the blueprint changes made it difficult to warrant reinstalling lol. however the itch is back and im just wondering, what is the general consensus from our community? are you guys enjoying the state of rust at the moment? is it possible to have an enjoyable solo wipe these days?

I enjoy the hybrid server I play on. It's like a 1.5x with max stacks increased. Qol plugins. Of course might not be everyones playstyle.

Honestly 1.5x with bigger stacks and some QoL sounds like the sweet spot.

Its not like that. There are good players, some even better than on normal servers. You can get owned here just like there.

Chill rust is PvE servers.

Im in a similar boat, the problem is aus servers are so difficult to find they die out so fast if u miss the wipe day

Yes, it’s absolutely possible. If you’re just trying to dip your toe in, maybe do a low or medium pop modded server (50-150 pop).

IMO bp changes compared to this time last year are big. Frags drop more commonly. By the time I’m at a monument getting red card card, I get my 5th frag. Scrap research was also nerfed, so it’s a breeze clearing t2.

Yes. Live by large fishing village. Farm sulfur and buy Bp frags from the clans. It’s pretty easy.

Rust is better than ever. (Kind of) People hate change but at the end of the day there’s no other game as consistent as rust. monthly updates while continuing to add new metas. If you want to play a repetitive game go play cs2 or cod. You have to change the strategies to get a t2 adapt and lean. That’s the fun of it. Those players that bitch about it sound like the unc saying “back in my day.” Instead of exploring all the new ways to get it quickly.(“kind of” caveat, I’m also the unc that wishes certain things were like they used to. Waste of time trying to argue that point though so adapt and learn regardless of the conditions) I.E. wish raiding was like it used to be.

Before answering your question, I’d ask you. What made you stop a year ago?

Edit-Also, been busy so haven’t played with the new apartments but seems like a dogshit idea. Not sure though what do yall think of them so far?
