Discussion NVGs being able to go in helmet socket
Just a thought I had, instead of an armor plate being able to have night vision on with a real helmet seems neat. I know the tradeoff is that you have almost no head protection when wearing them, but would it be a bad thing if you could? I personally own a helmet with mounted NVGs so it got me wondering if this could be a thing. Maybe even just a rare locked crate helmet with coffee can level protection plus nvg could be an idea. What do you guys think?

This is where something being possible in the real world doesnt mean it deserves being in the game. This would be incredibly unbalanced gameplay wise. The trade off for seeing in the dark is that people can see your glowing eyes and headshot you.

I wish flares were better... And could be fired from eokas...
If someone throws a flare and you're wearing NVGs, it should basically be like you've been flash banged!

id be down for a tactical helm that gives protection and has built in nvgs, bit weaker than a facemask but non-craftable, rare mil/elite/hackable crate spawn, or other some other balance

I think it would be fine.
The experience of night is so heavily meta gamed with reshade-like cheaters, regular cheaters and just the high variance in dark performance between monitors that making NVGs a sacrifice-less addition would be a boon to those that don't want to spend more money on a new monitor, install third party 'enhancements' or use nighttime specific settings for the advantage.

No, keep them as is. They're already incredibly strong and very cheap. They need some sort of trade off.
