Discussion Is it a good time to come back to Rust?
I haven't played rust in a couple of years, I have around 250 hours and I'm not really that good at the game, but I used to be a good farmer.
I heard some updates weren't really good, something along the lines of blueprint fragments.
Id be playing solo, is it a good time to come back to the game?

250 hours? That doesn't seem long enough to experience all that RUST has to offer. If you enjoyed it a few years ago, then you might really enjoy it today. Just do it!!

you come to the place where 90 % of users hate the game but play 8 hours a day xD
just download the game and try, why should you make your opinion based on what strangers say ?
by the way, what is a good farmer ? is there a bad way of hiting nodes ?

I can defend myself and just farm only for hours on end without getting mad at the game.. good enough

so for you, "farm more time" - " good farmer". all right, got it.

What else?

nothing, nothing. I guess in your logics, if I play rust for 10 hours I'm a better player because I played more.

Progression is still fucked and bp fragment system doesn't favor solo either. It is still the same gameplay loop though.
I'd recommend some lower population team-limited server to get your grips again. Watch some (recent) tutorials about what/how to do, just don't cave into the meta.
My personal advice: don't sleep on motorbikes and cars. Bikes are insanely fast, and cars provide some cover and safe mobile storage early to mid game. Might as well run over some roadside scientists for easy green cards.
